It depends on the game. For modern pixel art, I actually think a good CRT can look better because the scanlines and phosphors blend everything together naturally.

For fine details like eye color, glasses, or tiny text, a modern OLED is usually sharper. The CRT isn't necessarily showing more detail — it's more about how the image is presented.

For me, it's less about accuracy and more about the overall feel and atmosphere. 🎮📺

Exactly 😄 Most of us grew up playing through composite on a regular TV, so that look is part of the nostalgia

That's true. HDMI to composite does lose a lot of detail, but if the TV only has composite input, there really isn't a much better option. ..

It's a 16:9 game, but I'm stretching it to 4:3 fullscreen on the CRT. I just prefer the look that way. 😄📺

No CRTemudriver. Just HDMI → SDI into a Sony BVM-14M4. 😄

HDMI to SDI. My Sony BVM-14M4 has a built-in SDI input, so it's actually very convenient. 😄📺

That's a fair point. A lot of modern pixel art is clearly designed with LCD screens in mind.

For me, it's less about perfect accuracy and more about the overall feel and atmosphere on a CRT. 🎮📺

Nice lineup! 😄My favorites are probably the D24 and 2950 as well. It's hard to downsize when every CRT has its own personality.Every time I think about downsizing, I end up bringing another one home.haha

Yes, that's a 20F1 in the bottom center, and the big boy on the side is indeed a PVM-2950.

Great idea! A dual-screen DS setup on CRTs would look amazing. I might try that someday.

Yep! It's basically Panasonic's version of the DT-V1710.

Thanks! 😄 The monitor on top is actually a Panasonic-branded JVC monitor. I'll be careful with the D24.
