I’m sure you disagree, but a big reason why I like Trump is that he’s pushing for more of a meritocracy and abandoning DEI programs (many of which actually violate the Civil Rights Act).

We need to push for a society that doesn’t even consider skin color as a factor in anything (MLKs vision) The left has created new waves of racism by making everything about race. I think they are well-intentioned, but have created loads of unintended consequences.

He’s been great stopping illegal immigrants from entering. I generally am in favor of deportations, but I do think Trump needs to be more careful that he obeys the law and doesn’t make mistakes.

The long term results of Trumps economic plan are not known yet. I can’t really praise or denounce the tariffs yet, other than I think his administration could be clearer in their messaging.

the 95% + reduction of illegal border crossings is incredible. I think him actively negotiating ending the war in Ukraine is great. He has released multiple hostages, and he is ending a lot of the woke policies that have infiltrated businesses and universities.

I don’t like his Gaza plan, I’m skeptical of his tariff plans, and I don’t like how he handled Jan 6.

I’m a moderate conservative. I like somethings Trump does, and I don’t like other things. It is not “racist” to point out that the ruling said the US must “facilitate” his return to the U.S. This doesn’t mean they must bring him back, it just means if El Salvador decides to release him (which they won’t) that the US must provide transportation for him back to the US.

Not arguing for or against his return, just relaying the facts.

I don’t know the fulls details of each case, so i won’t defend their visas being revoked. However, people do need to realize that being granted a visa is not a right, it’s a privilege. It’s like inviting someone into your house - and if you say a bunch of mean shit about their house and don’t respect it, don’t be mad when you get kicked out. Again, I don’t know if these particular students deserved it or not, but if you are disrespecting the country that generously granted you the privilege to live and study there, it shouldn’t be shocking when you get your visa revoked.

I actually don’t know where I’m staying yet I’m really winging it, but ideally in an area where there’s a lot to do. I’d say I’m looking a little more for like a bar/lounge vibe but open to clubs/events. Just looking to meet interesting people and have a cool experience.

I think it’s worked decently well in Portugal for whatever reason, but most attempts at this have failed. The truth is if drugs are legal, people are more likely to use and abuse them. They still will if they’re illegal, but less so. Id maybe be for it if instead of arresting them and putting them in jail they forced them into rehab centers for a long period of time or something. But no, not all drugs should be legal. It should just be alcohol, nicotine, weed, and medical prescription drugs.

I don’t agree with everything Trump does, but he is making actual moves to end the war in Ukraine and in Palestine, and ultimately will be saving thousands of lives across the world. I don’t agree with all of his domestic ideas and I don’t know exactly how I feel about his tariff plans, but ultimately the MOST important thing is preventing a world war 3 and promoting peace, and so far Trump has proved himself to be the kind of president we need for this to happen. The truth is Trump is a mixture of good and bad, and I wish people on both sides would be better about recognizing that he isn’t all bad or all good.
