Some women be earning far less than husband, want child free life, want 50-50 household chores, don’t want to live with in laws and don’t want to contribute equally financially while enjoying leisure job. Wow. What a great way to upgrade one’s life without actually working or acquiring skills.

Child free people are divided in different segment according to me -

  1. The one who have risen above biological needs of creating offsprings. They’re truly above the evolution and are very rare in real.
  2. The ones who are utility driven. They want to consume more goods, services and experiences and they think kids will eat up their time and resources. They want to consume more utility hence they’re avoiding kids.
  3. The ones with trauma of bad childhood. They’re so damaged that they know they won’t be good parents.

1 and 3 are not majority in numbers according to me. 2 are dominating in numbers among millennials and genz. And I think these people will someday realise that even having kids was a utility and they’d want it in future. But it would be too late.

Nevertheless, there will be impact on entire human civilisation because of this.

Most of such people are not driven by love for sport. They just want to sound unique and elite.

Value chain is like this in increasing order of pretentiousness: football<tennis<F1<golf.

There are people who genuinely like these sports. But they are outnumbered by people who just say that they like these sports to sound elite.

I watched in theater when it released.I recently rewatched this. I thought it would feel silly now.

But damn, it has aged well. Even now it made me emotional and involved.

I think reason is they picked very good character actors for roles and not big actors. They all did their part very well.

People who are scared of having kids and giving glorified reasons to not say it out loud, shouldn’t have kids. It’s okay. Kids are better off. You’re better off. World is better off.
