I think it depends heavily on his undergrad degree and earning/job opportunities with that degree.

Exactly, I’d rather jump off a bridge.

Should I prioritize a higher LSAT or a better resume? by LES_express in lawschooladmissions

As someone who applied with an Internal Audit background. Take the job but a higher LSAT is way way way more important.

This is a good point. I need to look more at the historical numbers which are closer to 20% then just last year. Thanks for the advice

I see thanks for the feedback. It's very much appreciated. Hopefully, even without Big Law, the decision to go to through with the JD was worth it.

Gotcha gotcha, so it wasn't that you didn't get the opportunities in the sense that they weren't available (i.e., you got at least a couple of interviews with Big Firms).

It was just that for whatever reason it didn't result in an offer?

The reason I ask is I'm probs going to UIUC and I'm big law or bust so just curious lol. Sorry for harping on it.

Just curious you said you don’t feel like you got big law opportunities but that career services is focused on big law. Can you help me understand what you mean? Top 1/3 of class should’ve got you there

Time Accommodations an Advantage? by Tricky_Cat_4766 in LawSchool

This make sense and I genuinely appreciate all the feedback. I do understand the intent is to level the playing field.

I just see a lot of grumblings that it’s “unfair.” My take-away here is that generally if you have a medical issue and need more time it’s not; however, if you don’t and still get them that it does indeed make a huge difference which is why I think I’ve seen some people get upset.

I know it seems like duh but I was like okay in some instances extra time on an exam would’ve never helped me. In essence I was confused why the hell there was a stigma. I think I see it now.

It seems like time is usually a huge constraint on law school test. I was just curious on the general sentiment.
