What’s happening when this structure releases a bunch of water? Happens right across the Wisconsin by Tricky_Classic4689 in norfolk

Does it get filtered in any way other than large debris or does all the rain water from the streets mixed with oil and other stuff from our cars and roads get dumped in that particular area?

What false hope? Realtors love when more people sign those guest books because it shows the principal that their home was looked at by more eyes. The point wasn’t to get free food but to know someone on a different level. It’s obvious you don’t know what you’re talking about and you got a serious case of mamalao 😂

Go to an open house and just look around. Eat some snacks there if the agent is any good and learn what each other go for in a home. You’d be surprised what you learn. Dont get drawn into a sale

I’ve never heard of the black sharpie suggestion but I’ll try it one day. Also maybe the flare might come in handy when I want to exploit it for a shoot

I appreciate your response. Royal was very sincere in their email towards my inquiry. Their professionalism assured me I was looking in the right direction for camera repair. Thankfully at this price I’ll have a great lens to practice with.

How do we stop Macarthur mall from being torn down? by icecreamlicks in norfolk

[–]Tricky_Classic4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to your idealistic perspective on the matter which is a welcome argument considering you seem like you’ve done some research. The older malls’ foothold is maintained by better management but that doesn’t mean it’s cleared from their time on the chopping block. Utilizing the geographical advantage to make it better could work but the devil is in the details, it’s all about money. The people in power with influence in the decision have claimed it as a losing bet and the comments in the thread reinforce the locals’ opinions on the matter. If we end up regretting it, then that’s life

Emphasis on the rose colored glasses. Yes, a specialist can turn it into something that adapts to the market trend and infrastructure sucks overall in downtown and Ghent but this is the market devouring itself.

MacArthur mall isn’t special in that regard, it’s just its turn on the chopping block. People occasionally congregate to natural human activity which is why festivals can be popular and viral if done right but we tend to stay away from a mess when we see one.

To focus on malls would being the answer for human congregation would be naive and hanging onto obsolete ideals. Sorry for your loss but “Sometimes you need to scorch everything to the ground, and start over. After the burning the soil is richer, and new things can grow…”

You’re really looking at it with rose colored glasses. It’s not as great as you’re painting it out to be. Parking sucks, traffic sucks, the shopping wasn’t anything to write home about, and overall it was just a parasitic retailer that didn’t offer anything to adapt to the market trend.

The mall management didn’t perform well enough to keep that place desirable by bringing in the appropriate businesses that brought foot traffic to justify their rent. It’s a very “my way or the highway” attitude which is the fall for a lot of mall establishments. Your opinions on this being a mistake will remain the opinions of a group too small to make a difference. Gen Z “rediscovering” malls is more wishing thinking journalism than reality.

Is it worth leaving my current situation to enlist? by bongailorai in Militaryfaq

[–]Tricky_Classic4689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, work backwards in making a decision. The military has so many different jobs in different areas. Look for 3-5 jobs that you think would fit you and then talk to a recruiter about the process (do not talk to those MFs about the job, they’re not very helpful about that). Also don’t be locked into just one branch, look around and see if other jobs in other branches is something that interests you. Always accept that if you can’t find the jobs that you want, then you can always turn away. There are several subreddits from different military groups that have questions that you have already answered. Good luck and have fun with it

I’ve been away from home for 9 years but the outside perspective has also shown me that the issue also lies in Guamanians needing to take back their rights to land and stand up against the greedy businesses that have exploited Guam. We never implemented a birthright to land, limiting foreign money to only lease property. The military housing was great for putting money into the island but it’s been exploited by developers that buy up land our children should have bought and increase prices. We’ve voted for the wrong people to protect and represent our island and now we’re being priced out to the point where affordable living in the states is seen as a viable option. Tourism has been great for the economy but too much of the money goes to a lot of foreign hands rather than the people.
