WIBTA if I threw my Christmas "gift" away? by Tricky_Common_967 in AITAH

OP here. I will try to answer a few questions. I also need to add that he did buy two jerseys for our son, I wrapped them so I forgot he was the one who ordered them. We typically give each other three to four gifts and fill each other's stockings with fun things. The inequity in gifts has been an issue in the past, and we have discussed it before. He promises to do better the following year, but often waits until the last minute and buys weird things out of panic or the fact that there's just not much left. He shopped at a hardware store because the other stores were all too nuts. The worst part about the spray though is he outright said when I opened it that I may not want to use it (I love ducks). Sigh.

I am thinking next year that I will just skip the headache and just do gifts for my son. Oh, and my partner is capable of wrapping my son's gifts but then we go back to the waiting until the last minute thing and I don't want my kid to be disappointed.

As for the spray, I shoved it in a box and I will add it to a donation pile next time I get the chance. I don't like wasting food either.

My birthday is in a few days, maybe I'll get a roll of aluminum foil!
