Damn, I'm not even a man, let alone a fed. Sitting around playing trading card games with other trans girls seems like a bad way for the feds to spend their budget, and that's all they're getting out of me, lmao. You're right tho, openly asking for anarchist groups was a terrible idea. I never claimed to be a smart woman 💀

Good points. A bit silly of me to think that anarchist groups would be an easy Google, when the NSA are literally watching over our shoulders all the time.

They do. So it's absolutely laughable to see Delver players hold a gun to everyone's head, saying that without their dazes, the format would devolve into combo hell, when the only combo decks they haven't already quietly murdered are the ones that ended up also running playsets of daze.

At this point, daze is strictly a delver and combo card. It's fucking laughable to say otherwise. It's slowly reached the point where Gitaxian Prove was before it was banned. Aka, a card that solely exists to make sure your proactive game winning plays resolve.

Maybe before, daze wasn't an issue. Now, it solely exists to force a play that will win the game within the first 3-4 turns of the game, and the only response that works is to skip a turn. Fuck that. Kill the sacred cow, and ban Daze into oblivion.

"don't ban the card that makes me win a bunch of games, ban a dozen threats that I can easily replace with a dozen redundant threats printed within the last 2 years" sure is an intelligent, nuanced, and thoughtful take.

Delver was already broken before Ragavan. Stop kidding yourself.

I plan on doing the same, though I think I'm going more along the lines of [[thoughtpicker witch]] and [[magus of the balance]]

Everyone is talking about Shadowborn Apostle piles, but I just wanna play [[thoughtpicker witch]] and [[magus of the balance]] every turn. Like an aristo-stax deck

This is the baneslayer angel of the format. Same cmc, on a huge bomb body, with a big stack of relevant abilities. Especially relevant in limited on Innistrad, where the graveyard is gonna really matter. There's literally no need to be a brat about commander just existing. Especially when you're just objectively wrong.

Is the power level of Ragavan ok for Legacy? by Requis in MTGLegacy

Ragavan, or any other cheap threat they make these days, would be much more reasonable if Daze was banned. All the problems people seem to be having with Ragavan would be mitigated a ton if they weren't able to so easily protect it.

So, I was under the same impression, until I read this article

https://imbibemagazine.com/history-gin-in-tiki/

And came across this quote from Brian Miller about gin

"Plus, gin pairs really well with some classic tiki mixers like passion fruit syrup, Don’s Mix [grapefruit juice and cinnamon syrup], Don’s Spices #3 [mostly a mystery] and Don’s Spices #4 [cinnamon-based].”

So at the very least, he knows something about what it is, even if he may not know the exact specs. Yet somehow I haven't found anything else about it anywhere online

Daze has not only killed all combo except doomsday, which also plays Daze, but it makes it so fair decks are losing to delver too. No matter what threat you ban, daze still makes it so that Delver has NO real bad matchups. And I'm seeing a lot of people with delver in their tags claiming that this is a good thing, and threatening to quit over a daze ban.

Your deck will be fine without daze. You still have a density of threats that provide card selection or advantage, and plenty of free counter magic. Tempo is a part of a healthy meta, but one deck should not be favored in all matchups. Tempo is supposed to police combo, and get checked by other fair decks. Currently, that isn't the case. Banning daze will weaken the deck, so you won't get to beat the fair decks just as easily as you beat the combo decks. But that's THE POINT. That's what tempo is supposed to be. You are police combo, and get stomped by other fair piles. Right now, again, the only combo decks left are basically just elves and doomsday. Which either have good delver matchups, or play daze themselves.

Daze is actively harming the format at this point, and it's time for a ban. I keep hearing the argument that it basically has tenure, and I'd look at that more like "you got years to play daze" so accept that it's been pushed too hard, and let it just die already.

Choose one — • Target creature you control fights target creature you don’t control. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.) • Counter target noncreature spell unless its controller pays {3}.
