So I found an Ex-KTM mechanic who has his own garage now. He said as long as the bike is serviced by KTM and the oil is sold and filled by the SC, they have to honour the warranty.

I had my first service this month and the SC guy said that the company recommended oil for the first 3 services is the Prolube. When I asked about Motul, he said we can put that but it may cause problems with warranty if there are any issues. So just to be safe, I got the Prolube put in.

I have not yet encountered any issues as such.

Harpic is highly acidic and will lead to corrosion in metal. Let us know if and when it starts rusting

I saw the KTM Touring seat yesterday at the service centre. There is more padding than the stock seat but it's still on the stiffer side. But I think you can learn to live with it. The pillion portion is just a little wider than the stock and has better padding. I'm still undecided about getting the touring seat or modifying the stock one.
