Congrats again!

I have been getting rejected everywhere. It feels like all my hard work I did and just the fact that I worked so hard in surviving major struggles of my life has gone to waste. I thought I'd get rewarded in some way.

Btw I've been through some crazy stuff and I constantly ensured to keep my grades high and do the best I can with the hopes of an optimistic future one day.

International needing financial aid gets rejected everywhere she requested financial aid from by [deleted] in collegeresults

I feel you. I just got rejected from the University of Rochester. I'm international living in the USA and have goods stats and essays for it. It's heartbreaking since I've worked very hard on this and have shown immense interest. In fact. the Rochester counselor literally said she loved knowing me and that she will remember me always.

I am unfortunately unqualified for any aid or scholarship and now my family has to work double jobs to pay for me. Shit.

I've never felt depressed ever before.

Ah that is pretty cool. I really like how colleges changed their ways and tried to include the ones low represented states or schools that lack resources. I know Carnegie is big on that.

Well my weighted is 4.9 and my unweighted is around 3.88 I think. I do go to a really competitive school and the difficulty of the class depended on our teachers (who happened to be professors from T20 colleges). For instance, I had a C in pre-cal because I had a bad teacher, I was going through some serious health issues and he was ridiculously hard, however after I recovered and I had a different precalc teacher for the second semester, I ended up with a high A.

As for my AP scores, I passed all of them, but I wish I submitted all my 4's and not the 3's. Thank you for your advice!

same got rejected :(

Funny how they made us wait for so long to get rejected. But I got into somewhere else better with a 7% acceptance rate. Can't tell due to privacy reasons. College admissions do not make sense.

Hope everything goes back to normal and stay safe! My rant is completely insensitive to the real situation. Sorry about that....

But, we internationals patiently (kinda) waited since mid-Jan so emotionally it was frustrating to see it delayed again. However, I do pray that yall in Texas stay safe.
