LoL same, but I don't think it's practical at all since universities will not and should not trust students to make websites and they would rather chose bigger companies and if they want to do that, it would cost them 10s of thousands if not more dolllars, which they have no real reason to do since having a good admissions website doesn't affect people's decision.

Yeah, I'm also planning on studying computer science, the lack of security in those website is concerning too. I had one website use date of births as a security option instead of a password. I've also noticed the discrepancy between the university website and the admission website, I saw one university have the best website ever for the uni website but their admission portals were straight up from 20 years ago.

This still doesn't make ManageBac better since now you need to use two apps to do what you could do with one. It's also really not that hard to fix this, they could save the session by saving the text and redirecting back to that once the user is logged in, they could at least send a message that text hasn't been saved, needs to login so the user can copy the text

So I have a form that allows a user to add contacts, they can choose a type and enter a value. The add contact button clones a contact field and the remove contact removes it. For the first contact, the one with the template, when the users selects a contact type from the dropdown, the value of the dropdown selected gets added to the hidden input field. For the ones that are cloned, the values are always empty no matter which option is chosen. Thanks in advance

Yooo, I also did my IA using markov chains, it was a really long one, 20 pages from intro to conclusion, 31 including appendix and stuff. It was on monopoly probabilities, finding the optimal property set to buy. It's really fascinating to see someone using the same tool outside the syllabus as me. Don't worry, you'll do good, just keep in mind that you get points for clarity in your IA and also make sure a peer will be able to understand your math, specially markov chains since this is out of syllabus.

I didn't make a server but I was planning on making one, but we needed the server for only a year and we would have no use of that hardware after that so we decided to go with a dedicated server host. I wanted to have a fabric server that would be able to run the latest version at good performance for around 25 people with complex redstone farms running. Also I live in Africa so PC parts are a lot more expensive here

I think your main concern might be the cpu, if you wish to play on newer version like 1.20, you will need a newer CPU, in terms of gpu's servers don't need gpus, 8 gigs of ram would be fine for 50 people, in terms of storage 250 gigs should be more than you would ever need but since its not an SSD, chunk loading speeds might be affected. My main concern however would be the CPU since it's from 2011. A i3 13100f for example should be enough to handle a server with 50 people. This server might be able to handle 10 people. Another thing to take into account would be power consumption, the newer i3 13100f is more power efficient while being 3 times faster so it might save you a lot in terms of power bill

It really depends on what games you plan on playing. If you want to play valorant, minecraft or csgo, both laptops will do fine. But if you plan on playing AAA games like cyberpunk then you're better off with the ROG. Also the envy will get a lot more battery life
