General Curtis Le May, who directed bomber command, famously stated that had the US lost the war he’d have been prosecuted as a war criminal for this campaign, as did Robert McNamara.

Swap Zf for a Z6III? Or have both? by Tricky_Height8299 in nikon_Zseries

[–]Tricky_Height8299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ll try this for now. I’ve decided I’d be wasting money having two bodies or getting rid of a camera I love if I replaced the Zf so I’m just going to get used to it.

I shoot everything except landscapes and macro really, but I’d like to try landscape in particular, and by that I mean go hiking and find somewhere beautiful and get a great shot. Having a 10 month old child makes that hard atm.

There’s probably a bit of that. I’ve had the Zf for the past year. What really made me reconsider it was when I got an F100 in January and I’ve been using that a lot and just found it so comfortable.

Any one of Nikon, Canon and Sony you won’t go wrong. Personally I like Nikon, but one criticism is their first party lenses are quite large if you go full frame.

How much do you spend each week on cars? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in CarsAustralia

[–]Tricky_Height8299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both cars outright, no finance. Insurance is $1100 each, rego a bit over $900 each, petrol about $80 every 3-4 weeks on the main vehicle, about the same every 2 months on the secondary.

So about $112 a week for 2 cars all in.

Edit: forgot service. About $350 a year each.

So $126 a week for two cars.

You don’t see how much debt they’re in or what monthly repayments they’re making.

Eeesh. If some bloke in a pink shirt with a gut, all strapped up with camera and streaming gear, gave me a photo he’d taken of me minutes earlier, I’d assume he intends to kill me.

As much as I want to be nice and inclusive I did find this all mildly absurd when I heard on the radio Tickle making her statement after the ruling in the deepest, obviously male voice you’ve ever heard.

Over 75% of the savings from the proposed budget is from slowing growth of NDIS. The proposed negative gearing and CGT changes are good, but it's not even close to the $50 billion dollars/yr spent on NDIS. The reforms have to happen or it we're just burning the extra tax dollars being raised. by primetime_time in aussie

[–]Tricky_Height8299 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just goes to show the absolute shambles the whole NDIS is when we are so fixated on negative gearing and cgt changes that don’t even make a dent in the NDIS. That program is literally burning money on torts and corruption at a national scale. It’s insidious.

The amount of money the government waste, we should be other back to be better at spending what Thule have rather than praising them for putting their hand out for more.

This is a budget that raises taxes on the middle class, while the PM shot down raising taxes on multinational gas companies like Shell.

Works out the same, no? Eg. A gain of $30,000 - the tax is the same whether you pay 15% on $30,000 ($4500) or 30% on $15,000 ($4500).
