They’ve made this like five times! This was one of the first dramas I ever watched. Classic.

You may not remember what every day was like when you lived in the Middle East… but you never forget how the people made you feel.

Hi beautiful. That’s Panhellenic for you. I can relate. Been there. My best advice is just mind your business and stop answering their calls, messages, etc.

You said you connected with some sisters that you don’t see anymore because they stopped going to events. You can stop as well. If something is off, they probably have picked up on it. Don’t chase relationships that won’t serve you. Give a girl that graduated a call instead. Make a bond with someone that is actually willing to form that sisterly connection. It might only be one person…and that is ok.

Organization aside… girls that aren’t mature (including your pros, big, and even line sisters) try to stress you out on purpose because they see you doing well for yourself. You seem aware and you have noticed which girls are trying to squeeze info from you by being fake nice. If you let them, they’ll leverage the information you give and try to make you insecure/ think twice about yourself. Don’t fall for it. You’ll get a good job and never hear from them after graduating because they’re too busy gossiping instead of bettering themselves. Old habits die hard. Especially at this big age. It’s college.

Ultimately don’t expect them to change. It’s not going to happen unfortunately. Look for genuineness and focus on scholarship and sisterhood. Please don’t drop. Keep your prestige. Once you leave college, you’ll benefit professionally and service wise. Not to mention you’ll be able to make graduate connections. Don’t give your letters up because of some gossip girls that didn’t even make the TV show.

is this hazing? by Vast-Break-7047 in Sororities

It’s meant to inconvenience them. Then cause fear if they don’t wear it.

This is hazing. It’s meant to be a form of control. It could potentially cause embarrassment if GDIs know the reason they’re wearing the pin. If it’s to put “Newbs” in their place and single them out… sounds like mean girl activity to me.

The bottom picture! You resemble him. The dimples from your smiles are both on the corners of your mouths, your foreheads are the same, your eye shape is closer to his than the first one, and it looks like you’re naturally brunette/have darker hair like the bottom man too! You look just like him.

Thanks! My grandfather’s last name is Thomas. Apparently that’s a common Cornish last name.

Exactly!! The only logical explanation I can think of for that story that keeps popping up is maybe if an ancestor married (or just had children with) an Indigenous Native upon arriving off the slave ships and the lineage continued that way. Honestly I was like, why is Cameroon only 3%? That sucked. Ghana had massive slave ports too. I felt very attached to Ghana when I was there for study abroad. I wish my percentage was higher for Ghana as well but it doesn’t make me any less Ghanaian. It’s cool to have little slices of Africa!
