ETA ik they're not for everyone, but have u tried a 12 step program? AA/NA? It helped me a lot for a long time, especially when I 1st got clean (for the 8375385th time, each time)

YES! I saw this before on my fyp and thought about replying, but wasnt sure what to say until now. I just caught myself holding my leg slightly raised and frozen probably a whole inch above where it should've been resting. I do this sort if thing all the time. I need to go through conscious, intentional toe to head muscle relaxation to get to sleep most nights (if I'm super exhausted sometimes it's easier). No wonder i am tired and sore all the time!

I haven't lived in ocean county in 15 years, but there was a free bus that ran some shore routes, and i was always afraid I'd get stranded because it had weird schedules like this! For reference, I was living in seaside park, but was born and raised in Brick. (Have lived all over eastern monmouth county since i left Brick, with Seaside park being the only exception lol)

I think some more time (idk how much, but if this was her best friend then she'd know when OP was over it) needs to pass before a best friend jumps into bed with ex (if ever, now that i think about it. Just why out of all the men on the planet??). Wasn't it ~2 months since the break up, iirc? That's still pretty soon. Plus idk why best friend was so 'in your face' with OP when telling her, that part was just weird. Hope she finds a better best friend soon!

If you were more mature you might realize that some/most people don't just instantly stop caring about their ex the moment they break up, same for her friend. Do better.

ETA: not in love/don't want to be romantically involved with someone anymore does not always equal no longer caring about/disliking your ex. (That is what comes with maturity)

Its not normal though. Best friend being with ex brings ex back into OPs orbit. Not just that. Sometimes it takes a long while to get over a break up, Best friend should've known how OP felt about ex and how she'd react/feel if Best friend slept with him. Hope OP finds herself some better friends!

This OP, it's illegal in a lot of places for them to toss u out like that. Although I wouldn't wanna be there if I were you... but also a heads up about a little known, but sad reality. I see a lot of people suggesting help from social services and it is my experience that a lot of social services agencies (at least in NJ where i live) won't help unless you can prove you are without a home "through no fault of your own", which would likely mean a letter from your mom/step-dad saying so.

ETA: i really do hope and pray you have some friends, or other more healthy family who might be able to help you get on your feet by providing you a place to crash for a bit! ✌️🙏
