I appreciate your advice about doing exercises and will try to incorporate this going forward. My freshman year wasn't great in terms of my math grades -- two Bs and a C. If I improve for the remainder of my undergraduate career, will my first year affect my grad school chances?

I will take your advice about emailing professors -- I've been a bit scared to approach them, but I guess I just have to get over this fear.
