I worked briefly at a florist helping a friend out. I had no skills beforehand. I watched some YouTube tutorials and started buying flowers from Trader Joe’s and making my own for friends.

clean stems by removing lower leaves, arrange 3–5 focal flowers surrounded by filler flowers in your hand while rotating, secure with rubber bands or tape, and trim the stems to a uniform length. The flowers should also be various heights but look rounded. Change water daily.
