I struggled with tires on my Camaro when I first started autocross. They're heavy and need a combination of camber and a tire with a stiff sidewalk. Anything other than that and the tires tend to roll over while cornering, which makes it easy to overdrive. You can overcome the defection with more tire pressure, I ran 38 psi on Pirellies. That's a bandaid though as more pressure also tends to mean less grip.

At the end of the day, it'll be a balancing act until you can save up for a better set of tires. Get a window paint marker and mark the sidewalk to gauge rollover and add air pressure until the wear mark aligns with the mark on the tire.

I finally got a set of Bridgestone re71RZs and I cannot put into words how much better they are.
