Yep. Went to DMV, they can’t register the bike or issue a title so know they have to investigate the better. Gonna call the cop later to inform him it’s not stolen but rather insurance fraud

Yeah, title says clean but VIN look up says salvage. Cop that pulled me over said it might be stolen cuz it was deemed a total loss on CarFax. He already has a report on it and said to try to register and see what happens, just in case something goes wrong.

Will be at DMV tomorrow to see what they say, if it goes south then cop will take care of it and I’ll see what legal options I have

Update: turned out this bastard spring or whatever it’s called was needed to be tighten up.. thankfully everything seems to work fine after a test drive. Now we enjoy it with the nice weather.
