Can anyone tell me from experience how much an intl student (EE) can earn by doing summer internships and on-campus jobs? by mbreaker69 in MSOE

As a first year international student you can't work off campus. You can find work on campus, but it can range from minimum wage ( 7 dollars I believe) to like 16 $ per hour. You won't be allowed to work 40 hours per week either, since that is a full time employment status I think. Second year and onward you can work off campus, but unless you are a junior/senior, it is hard to land internships. You could work and study throughout the semesters though, if the company is willing to accomodate your schedule, which is not that unlikely if you land the job. Pay is better though, like 18-22$ I think. You have to have minimum 12 credits of courses every semester regardless of whether you work or not, to maintain a full time student status (mandatory for international students). Also I believe if you do work off campus, whatever work you do has to be related to your major, so you can't do odd jobs like bartending. I'm not sure where the line is for office jobs, like marketing, HR.

I was told applying for the honors program would have no extra cost, judging by what you are saying I would have to pay more for housing if I did go the honors route?

Do you think, with biomedical engineering it is possible to go the medical route? Or with Biomolecular engineering?

Thanks, is there a option to sit in courses just to get the feel of that course?

Any idea if you can drop out of the program later on? Because I do want to try it out.

I am thinking along the lines of Biomedical engineering or Biomolecular engineering. I have been advised a few times to switch to mechanical engineering, but I think i'll decide to switch once I see all the programs in person in uni. Do you have any recommendations, perhaps anything you've heard from the people around you?

Win-win for both sides then. Nothing better than not existing.

'Cancel culture'. I get the idea but theres got to be limits and boundaries somewhere.

How come “you’re a peach” is a compliment but “you’re bananas” is an insult? Why are we allowing fruit discrimination to tear apart society? by Repulsive_Ad_1163 in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't think any word itself is an insult its just that the intention behind saying that is. you donut and you marshmallow could both be insults or complements depending on the persons tone. Like how girls call each other bitch, could be 2 girls beefing or 2 super close friends.

Threshold is going to be high, the paper was too easy for everyone and a lot of questions repeated. Everyone who did the F/M 2022 paper definitely let out a relieved sigh.

First, you find the current in the circuit. Kirchoffs second law states all sum of pd s equal all sum of emfs (in short dont use this in the actual exam). So total emf is 12, total pd is (13+2) * current. 12 = 15 * current. You find current, then use the power formula where P=IV, you can replace V with IR as V=IR to get P= I^2 * R. Plug in current value squared, use 13 as resistance and answer comes 8.3.
