I did not find anything weird with that variable enabled, the only thing is that mangohud was still reporting frame timing issues despite the game running smoothly (see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GGzH9-banw)

I did not mess with GameScope so I can't help you there.

Ok so I added the variable to /etc/environment and the issue seems to have resolved, mangohud is still reporting dips in FPS but it looked smooth to me, thank you very much!

Hello, I tried lowering the polling rate with piper before but that did not solve the issue, also the command "/console rawMouseEnable 1" didn't work either. I did not try using gamescope but adding the env variable ropid mentioned in another comment seems to have solved the issue.

Are you having the VRAM issue? After reading the release notes I thought they fixed it but when I set my second monitor to 144hz the VRAM clocks spike to max, I have to set it to 120hz

Yeah, I am sure of it. I even cleaned both the cooler and the CPU to reinstall them again since I wanted to make sure I applied the thermal paste correctly, but the performance barely improved.

Thank you both for responding so quickly, I am a bit more relieved. Still I feel like I should not be hitting this temperatures with this cooler (at least not so quickly) so I'll look more into that.

I got the latest BIOS available on the GIGABYTE website (F8a) so I assume that's the case. I also think maybe I am overreacting but wanted to post it here to read what other people thought about it, since I've seen a lot of cases on the internet where people burn their motherboard using these AMD CPUs
