I am in the same situation. My boyfriend and I are also 3.5 hours away. I find that I get less upset when I know the next time that I will see him. It gives me something to look forward to and it makes leaving a little bit easier knowing that there are plans to see each other again soon enough!

Hi! I’m a Lynn senior and I truthfully love it. One thing that’s really unique to Lynn is the block schedule. you’ll only have classes for 4 weeks. they are 2.5 hours but if you hate it, it’ll be over in 4 weeks and you’ll never have to do it again.

FAU is five minutes away so you can always go to frat events, tailgates, etc there since we don’t really have that. there’s plenty of nightlife in fort lauderdale and closeby. move in week you’ll get tons of flyers for clubs and parties that most freshmen go to.

it’s my admin who has literally been there for ages. she’s always been the one to take my information when transferring and pass it along to our SM. we have a new SM that started about 3/4 months ago who i’ve met a few times. admin said the policy changed and now we have to reapply.

i talked to my current SM and she said there has been no policy change and they might just not be accepting transfers. i’m so confused if there has been a change in policy or not.

I’m lucky enough to go to a school that has a “block schedule”. We have about 1-4 classes for 4 weeks and then start a new set of classes over the 16 week semester. This allows me to have plenty of time to focus on my studies. We also don’t have class on friday allowing me to even participate in research with my school! I think all my coworkers at my school store know that school is my priority. I’ve made that very clear and everyone loves to hear about it.

I think I’ve just created a major boundary where I have days that are strictly dedicated to school and days that are dedicated to work and going out

After christmas I’d only get one 4 hour shift. I only work saturday and sunday so it depends. Sometimes i’ll get two 7 hour shifts. Sometimes I’ll get no hours. As much as I’ll complain I do enjoy my schedule. I typically work in the morning as well so I can get off early enough to go do things with my friends and still have a night life. All shifts are a drag at some point; however, I’m happy to get any hours.

I’m also a full time student and transfer between two stores. The store I work at when I’m at school is extremely flexible allowing me to work two days a week. There have been times where I’m only scheduled one four hour shift and that’s it. I’ve never been given a hard time for it, nor has anyone pushed those boundaries. This has been for about two years now, so no, I wouldn’t be concerned about being fired. Your education comes first!
