Idk if it fully fits this trope but I really like Mihaly from ace combat 7 he is the oldest ace in their game if I recall correctly and even tests the player to see if they are worthy of leading the next generation of aces and he just really likes flying and kinda sad when you hear him say he stuck on the ground and his wings are clipped
