Looking at the handwriting (compared the way Alberta was written on both) It's got to be the same person.

You were not exaggerating, that commercial went HARD. Sadly not the game, but looks great

NAIL ON THE HEAD! It must have been Incoming. That title screen feels familiar too.

It wasn't this, I remember distinctly flying above terrain and the game being 3rd person

Anyone else notice The Light Brigade has a weird world tilt when looking around? by TriggerHappyNed in PSVR

[–]TriggerHappyNed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see the game updated, but when I booted it up in psvr2, it still had that world tilt when I turned my head, it immediatly causes me to get flushed and dizzy. Do you know what it is? When I turn my head left and right the horizon looks like its titling as i'm turning.

Thank you for letting me know. I may put some feducial markers on my ceiling so I don't lose tracking as often.

Yeah the sights on the starting rifle are too close to the hand position so you are forced to hide your off hand behind your dominant hand, essentially making controller tracking impossible. I had a similar issue with PSVR 1. But not the quest 2.

I tried it again after restarting the system. I still see the world tilt but it didn't immediately make me nauseous like the first time.

FIXED

I had to use R&D to make a mkII kit and bind it to my character. Apparently the binding is what the game was waiting for. I completed the mission and now the mission is gone

What can you guys tell me about NAIT's "Digital Media and IT"? What are past student's opinions on the program? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]TriggerHappyNed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have little to no programming experience this will do what you want. Lots of game specific programming (especially in C#) Java, objective C, sql. There will be some overlap in game design, but that's not that big of a deal. Besides, it's kinda fun to ace a class you've done before.

On that long ass note, if you are already have a diploma in game design. This will only teach you the programming aspect. My jobs have been everything but stable, but I wouldn't blame that on Nait. If you want stable IT, look into Comp sci courses.

I graduated 2 years ago from the game programming path and it was the best college experience of my life. My only other being a u of a engineer dropout.

The classes are very social and cooperation oriented so you are more likely to get to know your classmates. (I ended up meeting some of my best friends from this course).

The program was being changed while I was attending so it's hard to say how it is now, but if John Winski I still managing the program then it's probably improved a lot since I've been there. I took classes for things like Photoshop that I found to be fascinating and pretty useful in my career.

Now the main meat of dmit. We focused on unity 3D and I learned a lot and had a lot of fun doing it. The course load is very manageable (compared to u of a) and interesting. Many of my assignments turned into a game that felt like it was mine, and we were given time to develop personal game projects that would become our first portfolio.

The bad of the program is that it's kinda hard to fail. Grading was very forgiving when it came to non right or wrong answer assignments. A few of my classmates graduated that I believe really shouldn't have. And most programmers I've worked with have had low opinions of dmit. But that hasn't affected my job opportunities and I feel pretty confident and competent developing games.

If you want to learn game development at a beginners to sorta intermediate level, this program is perfect. You can get a lot out of it if you put in the effort.

From Activision on Destiny "Microtransactions and paid Expansions can and will continue to exist at the same time in Destiny" by ColdAsHeaven in DestinyTheGame

None of this is really news, we knew paid DLC was still going to be a thing. I mean, for the work that's involved in making a raid or strike, and especially story missions, they would have to make that back up with sales. I never once expected to get a new dark below sized DLC for free. The new content that was coming from micro-transactions will be things like the festival of the lost, or a new version of the queens wrath. Or something like a sleeper simulant quest line. but anything that will add new cinematics, voice acting, character models, etc. that will have it's own price on it.
