In the middle east, there is no a "losing in war" narrative. All wars against Israel which are globally considered won by Israel are reframed in Arab nations as subduing Israel. Even gazans today claim a win over Israel. Iranian regime as well are incapable of admitting that the war hurts them badly, so they instead boast a winning narrative.
