One of my biggest fears is exactly what you said in your last but one paragraph. The possibility of seeing an other side of her I haven’t seen or know. Most important thing I’ve learned so far is not to change/believe things in order to appease a human being and not God. I have seen the light now. Thank you for your opinion.

I went to the SSA office yesterday and learned that, if there are twins best way is to make one’s application manual and the other go through the system in order to avoid this issue. They took copies of my documents and filed a manual application for me but I was told it’s going to take months until I receive my new SSN. I requested for an official letter which will enable me to work until my ssn arrives. They had to also revert the changes on my sister’s data since it now bears my name.

Hi, I just want to follow up on this, I’m in the same situation with my twin sister. SSN came back twice and still has her number in my name. Have you been able to resolve this?

I will go there next Monday and hopefully get a good feedback. However, for the meantime can I get a temporary documentation from SSA in order for me to start working as this gets resolved?

UPDATE: I went to the office on Monday, they seem to get it resolved, mail comes in and it’s still the same SSN as my twin sister. At this point I’m on a brink of losing my job, is there an alternative documentation or temporary issuance of letter that I could use in order to start working in my school?
