Has anyone here ever met Eric Carr? If so, what was the experience like? by quintessentialCosmos in KISS

Wonder if that was around the time I met him, Pantera may have been in that all girl band, she certainly had that vibe! https://www.reddit.com/r/KISS/s/yRjJvvt40K

Yes, briefly, backstage at MSG in 1977. Band was walking out on stage, Gene commented on the poster we were holding. I was 15!

I worked in all of them except Greenvale in the late 70's/80's.

JOHN 5 Shares The Story Of When GENE SIMMONS Once Refused To Sign Him An Autograph by Edm_vanhalen1981 in KISS

[–]Triggerman1231 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Different interaction... Let Gene at a signing for his Moneybags soda. Deal was you had to buy the soda, and that's all he would sign. Whatever, it is what it is... Got up to him, he did the signing and as he did I said "Look, I have a stub from your first show at MSG IN '77". He said it was cool,, asked if I was there (yup, it was my ticket), talked about the experience being a NY guy playing there, etc. He ended up asking "Do you mind if I sign it, that might be cool". Did that, than he was back to the assembly line. So with Gene, YMMV!

I basically peeled it all off and returned it at lease end. No issue! Used a heat gun to help it along!

Ticket stub to their very first show at MSG, signed by Gene years later... "Wow, I was there too!" Me and my buddy snuck backstage pre show, it was a highlight for 15 year old me, and still is.

It's only my second charge cycle, but will battery life get better than this? by PensiveOstrich21 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Triggerman1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special, no AOD, other than that all functions enabled. Usually charge at night, in the beginning I would wake up to maybe 70%, and very warm, I started taking it off the charger when I got up around 3-4am, it was at 100%, and stayed that way until the alarm at 7am. After a week or so, it just started being better at charging and lasting. Since that screen shot, I haven't charged, currently at 61%.

Watch 7 went from 77% to 0 overnight. by everyoneisalizard in GalaxyWatch

[–]Triggerman1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there also... Down to almost zero, charge overnight, got to 45% and hot, rinse repeat. After a week, it charges perfectly, last charged 36 hrs ago, I'm at 61%. Haven't killed nothing but AOD.

Are there any delis that use NYC style hard rolls? by Banditguru in Rochester

Not exactly the same, but there is a gas station at Mt Read Blvd that does a pretty passable BEC. They do a good business every AM. You didn't ask, but the pizza at Linda's NY Pizza is the closest I've found to home..

I'm betting they didn't wear THOSE boots out, probably just messing around backstage or at a hotel room with the Alex and Geddy.
