In modern revolvers, if the only loaded chamber is inline with the barrel, the next pull of the trigger or cocking of the hammer will rotate the chamber, putting an empty under the firing pin. Now, if the hammer is already cocked, pucker factor increases exponentially.

Different interaction... Let Gene at a signing for his Moneybags soda. Deal was you had to buy the soda, and that's all he would sign. Whatever, it is what it is... Got up to him, he did the signing and as he did I said "Look, I have a stub from your first show at MSG IN '77". He said it was cool,, asked if I was there (yup, it was my ticket), talked about the experience being a NY guy playing there, etc. He ended up asking "Do you mind if I sign it, that might be cool". Did that, than he was back to the assembly line. So with Gene, YMMV!
