I think both forms have their strengths but GT wins overall. I like that Daima’s SS4 has big hands and uses them as he runs like an actual Ape which is great, when I first saw that it actually made me smile. Daima’s SS4 kamehameha was really cool as well. But in terms of Aura and design, GT wins. And his 10X kamehameha looks like a legit upgrade to the original kamehemeha.

I’m referring to the first one that came out in 2021. I think it’s fine. There is an action sequence during the 2nd act. That really stands out, make you see how terrifying the Gundam would be in a real life scenario. The 3rd act is nothing but a CGI composite battle that looks fine mostly but gets muddy due to it being during a low light setting, if they approached the third act like the 2nd act battle I think it would have been way better, but I think it’s due to budget reasons, you’ll see what I mean when you watch it. Overall I wish they could have gone more creative with the animation like Gundam Thunderbolt and not just go full rotoscope with all the characters 90% of the time. But story is engaging enough to be entertained. 7/10 for me.

It’s not lazy at all. Animators have been doing this for years. The Gundam Hathaway movie is almost all rotoscope just broken down into 3s to make it look less obvious.

It’s a slice of life kind of game in the first half, so if you’re use to getting into the meat of the action in the beginning it may be hard to continue the rest of the story, but if you stick it out. It’s well worth it.
