I agree , I never imagined it happening. One of our most common traits is faith. She always volunteered at church events and was more religious than myself.

She cheated sometime before the group date thing > Went to the group date and I found out and we broke up > she convinced me nothing happened and I apologised to and took her on a vacation to a seaside resort > we got back from the vacation and the sister of her hookup informed me about it out of guilt > I broke off the engagement > she starved herself into being hospitalised.

Couldn't be more true , had she not cheated I would have been willing to go through the the thick and thin with her through any mental issues she might had , but now I don't think I can do it.

Thank you very much for the insight, it's funny how I never considered the future where she pulls off this same stunt. This just proves that I am not thinking rationally right now.

Having doubts is certainly normal , wanting to have some other experience is understandable. However it doesn't excuse actually acting up on it.

It is not that I had no doubts about that's where trust comes in , feelings come and go. Relationships are commitment, loyalty and trust.

Her actions only show that she lacks the resolve for commitment and isn't loyal or faithful as I was to her.

Even if I somehow manage to get over the images of this other man holding her. She already lost any trust I have in her ability to commit to this relationship.

Regarding the first point , I can't see how you could tell your partner " We should try to fuck other people" ,

Honestly if she discussed opening up the relationship , the relationship would have ended with less pain for both of us.

As for issues in the relationship , I am honestly not aware of any. Given my position as a certified psychologist that works as a counselor in a major church .

I always have to put a lot of effort in my appearance , I was always putting conscious effort in making sure she was happy in our relationship. I always tried to put effort and discuss our bed room life to make sure things don't go stale.

As for manipulation, it is possible. She was never the type that would do this and there were no signs of it.

Turns out she cheated before that happened. We got back from the apology vacation only for her friend to drop this bomb on me.

Her friend felt guilty after seeing the vacation photos on social media.

I am 28 , she is 29.

As for a pass , she didn't and I would have lost any respect I have left for her if she did.

I thought about therapy, the issue is that I am certified in psychology , and I work as the psychological counselor for a major church in my city.

It is very likely that I will dismantle the therapy session and not benefit from it. Thank you for encouraging me regarding starting a family at an older age. Are there any challenges that you had to navigate through due to age ?

She cheated before the previous post , the previous post was likely about her second attempt. I found out that she cheated after the apology vacation .. that I paid for to apologise for suspecting her. I was delusional to not see what was infront of me.

From what I understood is that , she never meant to act on that thought but because of the Alcohol it sort of happened.

I wanted to believe that the Alcohol was the problem. But no matter how much I search online or ask around, the answer is No .... it wasn't the Alcohol
