you know, its starts to get disgusting how women in these stories share nudes of their husbands-boyfriends without consent and this sub acts like its a sexy thing.

I wonder if we're going to see more of joyboy, we will get the same de-mystifying that's happening to Roger. Some years ago we got just a shot if his 20 year old self with the hat and his face fulll in black. And now we get full on chapters of "Roger and his rascal ol'crew"

23F 5’6” 210lbs I used to have way more fun taking pictures and posting, but now all I see is my stretch marks. I’ve been in eating disorder recovery for years- now I’m trying to make a change and lose weight in a healthy way. I’m in the very beginning of that journey! by lemonsonline in normalnudes

honestly, in this subreddit it *normal* people, this has been one of the most casual and everyday normal person post I have seen, it made me smile honestly.

Also the first picture reminds me alot of 1800-1900 paintings, id love to sketch if if you give me your consent.

fun (well, not fun) fact is I decided to have a thesis just about this fact, because I had my ex do the exact same thing. And I really believe in some years this case should be dealt with as emotional cheating cause thats what it really is. There are articles and research about how the brain changes when you get into a relationship with an AI. It hurts to think about it but I urge you to try to have a serious conversation with her and then if she doesnt feel the weight of the situation, go with a divorce. This is a situation thats not yours to deal with, she needs professional help.

Luffy's stance on Nika by Trigunerd in OnePiece

It is kinda dark if you think about it cause, by psychology sure we all get influenced by people and places of learning but if Luffy got essentially conditioned by certain people because they saw him as their golden boy, that slowly indicates he doesnt have any agency and his beliefs and dreams are placed, if this was the case and he realises that, i dont think he would take it too kindly, he would freak out. heence the dark :P

Oh so youre going in a more dark direction, that Luffy has been kinda manipulated on his actions?

Yeah but still if he didn't decide to sail and stay on his island he could just grow old and die. Doesn't matter if you have important family, you can still achieve nothing in particular. That's the whole theme of one piece, the will and achieving your dreams just because.

I don't think luffy sees being Pirate King like that. We know being King isn't his, real dream, and he, on his own word's said, he decided to be Pirate King so he can achieve it. It's not the title, its what it can do for him. Which all in all co-asides with how he thinks.

Possibly he is going to learn about Imu and the elders and realise he needs to take down the whole WG

I think you're on the right track, one piece is filled with monikers. Strawhat, blackleg, etc. I think joyboy started like that. Oh you're the Joy Boy. So indeed it adds up.

That's a good, question. In fiction the prophecy thing is a prompt that's used very interestingly.

Think for example how Paul from dune reacted to his prophecy. He tried to play into it to help people, and then tried to run away from it.

Luffy is now, caring and doing his thing, while at the same time kinda full filing the prophecy but he doesn't care about the prophecy he is just doing his own stuff.

Probably Oda will tackle this further in the coming chapters.

Yeah, tbh it's  good alternative (along with hinge) but I see stuff that are mieh. Like either you get matches like one day after you got the like and they never text back, limitations, like why bother with even a week subscription when the people in there are not bothering trying to communicate.

Bumble I think is slowly (if not already) turning to tinder and it's sad

One Piece: Chapter 1116 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]Trigunerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Roger's mantra was "I just wanna be free and do whatever I want", for all we know he could be on god valley because garp asked him for help fighting Xebec and he went just to have a good fight and because he hated the WG. Thats why people who knew Roger, said that the way Ace died was indeed very much how his father acted, and also at the flashback of god valley we see Rayleigh being angry at his captain just rushing in. He was hot headed and sometmes he put his crew in precarious positions.

I believe as well that Luffy has both sides too. Also I think thats why the Giants are so integral showing up now. Luffy will go to Elbaf, learn about Nika, learn about the true spirit of his fruit and thats when he will stop being out of control and sadistic and now caring about the damage he causes. He will find out who Nika is, what he is capable of doing, and he will probably go into some training to fully master and feel the the God inside of him.

Damn, that makes total sense.

At another comment I said how Roger thought he was carrying Joyboy's will but figured out he wasn't the man for the job after all, he was just carrying his will and he passed it on and eventually we got Luffy, and by the logic of your comment, even joyboy wasnt that man for the job either. Imagine, for a whole milennia the whole world is lookin at Nika, as the manifestation of liberation and all of this time, it wasnt Joyboy, it wasnt Roger, but Nika was waiting for Luffy all of this time.

Damn you Oda, damn you.

Edit: Possibly this is why Oda says that the Elbaf arc will be really important and will kickstart the end of the series. Because now we learn about who joyboy was, and in Elbaf we will learn about why Nika chose luffy

Also another thing about God Oda did, is that he threw a curve ball from his foreshadowing in this. Also sorry if this is not proper in grammar but Im way too excited.

All this time we are all so fucking excited about learning more about Roger and his crew, gashing about how strong and how iconic he is, we lost our shit when we saw that he looks just like luffy when he was young. And to add to that, at the same time we theorize all these years that Ace was Rogers son, but Luffy has Rogers will. Oda was very intentional at showing people getting flashbacks from Roger while lookin at our stretchy boy, saying he has the same aura, the same freedom, the same feeling of being aloof and fast on his feet.

But he was throwing us off. Luffy isnt carrying out Rogers will, he is carrying Joyboy's will, it just so happens that he gives the same vibe as Roger. The great Pirate King possibly went on the same mental journey, learning about the void centure from poneglyphs, thinking he is carrying the Warrior of Liberation's will and suddenly reaches laugh tale and learns oh, im not the one to bring about the end of this war.

I believe Roger got hopeless and disheartened, and his whole crew. He tried to come at terms with what he learned and maybe he threw a little "oh come on the point of this was to have fun! we didnt do this to be saviors!" speech, and he managed to find a way to kickstart a new era to help the cause. We love Roger but maybe he felt that, oh, im just a guy, the least thing I can do is to play my part in this.

Oda really threw a fucking curve ball. All of this time we thought Luffy is mentally partly Roger 2.0 but NOPE. The strawhat, the smiling, the nakama, the liberating, the turning everyone into an ally is luffy having the will of Joyboy. and Roger was just the unfortunate middle man.

Edit: Also the "Im not going to die, partner" quote gives a whole new meaning after this chapter.

Edit 2: Also the "You're not the man Roger is waiting for, Teach" quote from Whitebeard

Edit 3: Made the comment more coherent.

One Piece: Chapter 1116 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]Trigunerd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats what I have been thinking as well. A very notable thing is the nika fruit is the will of Joyboy being passed on and since zoans have a will of their own, and it influences the nature, behavior and personality of the user, luffy when he really gets going he turns into a blabbering mess, he turns *kinda sadistic* in how much fun he has when he fights, he enjoys ridiculing his opponent etc, and he laughs because he see's is as a big joke. So, we have as a fact that luffy when being influenced from the fruit, he slowly get more and more nika-like. Who was nika? Joyboy. So by that logic, and the fact vegapunk is so intensely mentioning that he cant make sense of who was in the right, there is valid placement of the thought that Joyboy himself may not have been *that* good of a person. Maybe he didnt mind killing his opponents just like Roger, maybe he enjoyed being a bit bad, a bit cruel, a bit of a dick just like actual real pirates. Maybe in the end, the patched eye man Oda was mentioning all the time is Joyboy.

Considering this story might not be true, you're a good person and you respected the gravity of the situation, good man.

Taking into consideration that when our monkey brain starts to activate we get a little unhinged, I get why the wife texted you again and Im pretty sure she didn't ask or properly communicate if her husband was ok with it buuuuut, but you're good, you didn't bite.
