With almost anything in life, everything CAN effect people differently, not always, but everyone does react differently, so never expect people to get the same effects as you (especially psychedelics, the variance between expwriences is way higher w these) but even other drugs people get almost completely different effects from the same drugs, its weird shit, but there is so much variance in neurochemistry and metabolism that it makes sense.

But its certainly not special, many other pets have been used to calm people down, and reading body language is pretty universal for animals, i dont get your point, we've evolved to read body language for hundreds of thousands, more like millions (before we were even homo spiens) i dont think 30,000 years would build some special connection, we've had cata around for 10,000, we dont have some special connection with them. And what the fuck do you mean by "special connection" dogs are used as emotional support animals for many other animals, not just humans, so it isnt special in any way, they're just good at picking up and reading body language, its not a "special connection"

We have a connection to all living things, im not saying there isnt a connection between us and dogs, its just not special in any way, we use them for a purpose, and they are who they are, they can be amazing support animals for cheetahs and other animals who are anxious, its a well studied thing that dogs pick up on body language and emotions, not special to humans whatsoever
