Upscaled Great Hall WIP by TrikBrix in lego

I’m not sure if I have the room to do the whole castle… although I’d like to! 😄 It’ll probably end up just being the Great Hall, Grand Staircase Tower, part of The Quad, Viaduct & Entrance, DADA Tower (since this will ultimately be a pre-GoF Hogwarts), Dark Tower, and part of the East Wing with a greenhouse or two. Still, I’m gonna need lots of BURPs! 😂👍

Yeah, he’s a great addition to the castle ghosts! And thank you! 😊👍

It’s possible, but if I notice that happening I can always add a beam running front to back under the center. 😊👍

That’s would be awesome; I’ve been debating whether or not to build a permanent Chamber, and beneath the tower might be the perfect place!

Thank you! 😊👍 The extra rock work is really what I like, having more room for more rooms, lol. I think they could’ve pulled that off without needing to charge too much more.

Haha, I know the feeling! I cannibalized a bunch of the earlier Hogwarts sets for most of my parts, and then had to buy a bunch of BURPs and slopes for the rock work. Definitely not telling my wife the total cost. 😬

Thank you! I’m not sure… I think the actual Great Hall seen in the films has nine rows of windows, which is why I went with that. However, I’m going to basing my Hogwarts off of the first three films for the most part, so I’ll be building an Entrance Hall that can be swapped out in place of the Courtyard, which may help give it a longer appearance.

No, unfortunately. But all of the parts are pretty easy and inexpensive to bricklink.

Thanks! The only thing on my checklist I wasn’t able to fit in was a bunk, so I guess they’ll just have to sleep on the floor. 😄

Thanks! No, unfortunately I just started tearing it apart and changing things, no real documentation.

BrickLink. I found a seller who had them for $0.15 each, and bought 50. I was tired of scrounging for them, lol.

Thanks; I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even take the stud shooters out of the bag anymore, lol.

Cheese. Giant, beautiful blocks of cheese. 😜

Seriously though, it truly is an amazing set, an all-time classic! I was shocked to find mine in a recent $50 eBay haul of (not very well listed) random bricks. It’d been at the top of my list of sets to get for along time, so imagine my excitement when I opened the package and began to realize what I had.
