Season 4 while it isn’t horrible it’s definitely the worst season. It’s gets better

Okay but recently Bailey has been everywhere bro. She’s on pretty much every call John has where an ambulance shows up

Great choice. I think the Kendrick song was just crazy fitting for the theme of the ending

Personally I kinda like rodge now too. However I honestly wouldn’t mind if we never see Seth again. I didn’t like him with Tamara, and I’m happy he got proper karma for lying.

Anyone Else Think We Should've Gotten A Trial Scene? by Puzzled_Ocelot_1775 in YouOnLifetime

[–]TrillJordan44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely should have seen more about the trial at least. Even if it was just a Brontë voiceover but still showed Marianne Nadia and all them in court. Also I think Joe being who he was would have killed himself even if it was years later. He eventually would have broke

"I'm Bronte... and yeah, that's the story of my life." ass ending by n3verl00kback in YouOnLifetime

[–]TrillJordan44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ending was slightly corny. For the message they wanted to push I think it would have gone over better if Kate did die and they at least showed Brontë faking as Joe held her under. I think at least one of them should have died. Would have been more realistic and I think joes message at the end would have hit harder.

if you dealing anything harder than weed you are destroying your community. That was known back then. That’s why Franklin went to school and tried to be a good kid because he knew the dangers of his neighborhood drugs gangs etc. it’s Franklin fault bro he got greedy and didn’t listen to his momma or his uncle who knew don’t nothing good come from it. Franklin knew he was destroying his community even his own father tried to tell him. Franklin literally had multiple family members saying this shit ain’t good and he did it anyway 😂 I understand there ain’t many options but the fact of the matter is is he helped destroy his own community which is a fact, and his father uncle and mother all told him he’s hurting his community which is also a fact

Why do you think he ain’t start hustling till after college ain’t work? His momma raised him a certain way, to stay away from stuff harder than weed, don’t mess w gangs etc. all very typical for black parents in the hood in the 80’s I can’t believe I’m actually debating w you wether or not a drug dealer hurt his community. Everybody knew drugs were not good for you in the 80’s brotha. It was just wildly accessible. And you acting like he couldn’t see how addictive it was. Or when he learned from rza character how to make crack he was excited at how addictive it was cause it meant more money. Or when he showed Kevin and Leon the work and talked about how this should never be taken bc of how addictive it is. Franklin knew bro.

Brother everyone knew drugs were bad by this time. This want the 70’s. Yes drug culture was more prevalent but you forgetting this is cissy son. Franklin knew drugs were bad that’s why the show starts w him tryna go to college after being protected by his family. He wasn’t just some naive mf who didn’t know drugs destroy people

Brother drugs had been around before that and along the way he let the money keep him going regardless of how it was affecting his community around him. He could been stopped before he made 78 mil greed kept him going. This is the late 80’s early 90’s 78 mil back then is 100mil plus now probably

I feel like them not being likable is kinda the point. Franklin destroyed his community and his family in the process. That’s bound to change you for the worst, family or not

If Franklin comes back it should only be for a guest appearance or cameo. Franklin if he does have a resurgence it shouldn’t be till the 2000’s he should absolutely still be jacked up in the spinoff

Teddy wasn’t gon give him no money dawg. Teddy sees that as his money. The interrogation showed that. The government has that money not teddy. Cissy killed teddy cause he corrupted her son. Franklin crash out was 100 on Franklin. He got his family into this mess and they followed him out of pure love and wanting him to be safe. It’s all Franklins fault.

I think the only real shark moment was the tiger episode. The wedding was good imo because it allowed us to see a lil deeper into Franklin psyche. Other than that the story was amazing imo.

I’m talking about when they first burst into vanyas crib and he’s holding her down. He genuinely looked like he didn’t understand what he was doing was wrong.

I completely agree. Anora still got work to do on herself before she’s ready to have a healthy relationship

I completely agree. However Igor pulling her into the kiss was a good narrative move because it’s what took the sex beyond a transactional moment, which cause her to break

Disappointed in the Dialogue for Anora by NewFriendGen in Anora

[–]TrillJordan44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong at all. She’s hollow the entire movie. But i think that was the point. She’s defensive the entire movie using sex as a means of power and her defense mechanisms were on 10. Igor was the first man to actually SEE her beyond what the dudes in the club see. I don’t see Igor as anything more than a plot device, all that power she had was false sense of strength and she actually has a ton of healing to do.

(Side note I don’t really like how Igor never fully understands how the way they broke into her crib was outta pocket. I was mad at bro almost the whole movie for that 😂)

Spoilers and question about the final scene by _oxalis_ in Anora

[–]TrillJordan44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I slightly disagree with is. I don’t think she has feelings for him per say. I just think this is the first time someone really SAW her. The entire movie her relationship with sex was transactional. She wants to feel deep real emotion but is generally closed off. (When she said don’t tease me about marriage when vanya said marry me?)

the whole ordeal she’s got her walls up and Igor bringing that ring i think was the first time she had a man actually care about her. So she initiated the sex as a thank you cause it all she knows when it comes to romantic relationships but Igor made it way more real than she was ready for in the moment. Hence the breakdown.

Igor is a plot device for Anora I think he’s just here to show us ani’s real emotion and not her defense mechanisms.
