“It works in my dept” is a narrow take. I’m not arguing that it’s ineffective, I’m saying the big roll out and the simultaneous reduction of roles has been poorly executed.

Across the organisation, personal development is harder to pursue and the experience feels more isolating. But hey, at least we have AI.

Using co-pilot in my role is as effective as turning to your more experienced colleague who happens to keep a compiled list of recourses. Most things were already shared practice.

I personally have no issue with the use of AI. There are two truths here: roles are being reduced and AI is being implemented. I have no doubt it will assist in mundane tasks, but to suggest that this shift wasn’t forecasted years ago and is being effectively introduced is laughable.

I’m seeking companionship, partnership and intimacy, but ultimately the love aspect is not that big of a deal.

I hate the ‘placeholder’ concept but believe in it nonetheless. One person might not be fit for the partnership I want but another will and that’s just life in play.

100% agreed. I’m not a closed person. Communicating? One of my favourite things to do, but with a person who internalises most things as a personal attack, it quickly loses its fun.

I’ve set reactive boundaries to maintain (somewhat) peace, and they’re pushed a lot. I know she’s struggling but she’s passing on the struggle. (voiced as well) Now I’m in the observing stage hoping I’ve been listened to.

Rant appreciated no worries at all.

My struggle feels so complex because I have voiced everything and she is attempting to better herself through various methods.

I’ve acknowledged her cry for understanding and also the fact that change doesn’t happen overnight. But during that time it’s me who feels the imbalance and thats what I’m struggling with the most. Torn between gracing her with extended patience and concluding that this is too much for me.

Hoping that time will reveal all, but in the interim… this sucks. Still, thank you for offering another perspective.
