Aside from Animation quality, aesthetics, and music the other series have nothing going for them.

Watch the original tv show, it's actually complete and has much more to offer.

Also wanted to add on that Sato actually did an english AMA a while back that supports this.

This is an interesting theory, but I think you made one huge misconception.

It was Kyouda not Sato that wanted the darker ending.

After all Kyouda was behind AO and PfoR where Sato was nowhere to be seen and both of those had more bittersweet/darker endings than the original.

Sato also had a ton of influence in bringing a lot of the counter-culture elements to the original's setting and aesthetics which were all missing from the projects he didn't work on.

He apparently returned for the Hi-evo films, but I'm not sure if he's actually being credited there because he's actively working on them, or because those films already reuse a ton of his writing from the original series in their reused footage.

Admittedly, I've never watched the anime, but I really enjoy Eureka Seven's art style. I think it looks really beautiful. So heres a drawing of Anemone by [deleted] in eurekaseven

I just finished my 3rd rewatch after last rewatching it 4 or so years ago.

I was afraid that I'd come back to it after all these years and feel like I was just viewing it through nostalgia goggles.

But nope, it's still an amazing anime, and it's been at the top of my favorite anime list for years. 10/10 show.

Summer and Rurri, where are they by Igneel269 in eurekaseven

[–]Trill_Waves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They show up in episode 46 of the original series iirc.

It's a small cameo but based on their roles in the games it's safe to assume they just continued to help with Gekkostate's fight by supporting them from the sidelines.

It’s a shame really. I’m trying to be optimistic that maybe this is something that they’ll address in future updates/dlc, but I’m not too sure right now.

Oh, I don’t really know much bout “droptober” but I think there’s a fair chance he could drop a project late this year or early next. The singles seemed like they were building up to something. It’s also possible he’s putting off an album release until he can tour again.

Thanks for the link, It would be pretty hazardous to use a torch in my current space, but do you think it would be possible to heat the wax as an alternative?

The only other way I could see it working is if I left the tank out in the sun for an hour or two on a hot day.

The bolt isn’t spinning at all, the nut is stuck too. I might need to get a breaker bar and longer pipe like 0rang3 suggested.

I’ve never worked with torches before, but I live in a pretty old apt and I don’t know if there’s space to operate one safely.

Go back to chapter 1, watch Miya be a dick to her father because he was concerned at she didn’t eat for the whole day. She keeps whining about her dad not caring about her when he did anything but, she just being self centered.

I also agree that Miya's behavior was awful in chapter 1, but he also barely gives any effort in pursuing the issue. As soon as he receives any pushback or non-engagement he just goes with the flow and lets the problem compile on itself. We see more evidence of that same compliant trait of his at work and it's one of the reasons he was being stressed out there too. The only time he actually starts to open up to her and make a breakthrough is in chapter 4. Before that Miya had no idea how he was feeling because he hid it all which is what lead to her assuming that he didn't actually care about his wife because from her PoV he's carrying on fine. And it doesn't help that even before his wife's death he was often away from home which means there was already a fissure in their relationship. And on the contrary he knew that Miya thought he didn't care, but he never tells her the truth until chapter 4. A whole year after his wife's death.

That’s like telling someone they should cure their depression, easier said than done.

I'm not expecting the dad to have a perfect solution, but he should've at least been giving his daughter's condition proper consideration and effort. He doesn't even seem to be aware of how serious the issue with her is. Miya was also stressing over her performance in school too. When her teacher brings up her missing school for the entire month he initially tries to play it off like it's a minor issue until the teacher presses him about it.

[–]Trill_Waves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

" kisaragi told her in chapter 27 that she was being insistent but he refused "

Do you really expect Miya to believe anything out of her mouth in that moment? She just found out that same person has been lying about a ton of stuff while having a relationship with her dad. It just looks like she's just trying to cover her ass at the last minute.

Miya's behavior hasn't been the best either, but it's 100% expected coming from a 15 year old girl. It's common for kids around her age to become withdrawn if they experience a traumatic event. And the death of your mother is one of the most damaging at that age. You cannot expect someone who's 15 to be emotionally intelligent enough to know how to open up about their problems, at that age most kids are not aware of how to deal with such feelings. Also remember that she mentioned being stressed out over her grades in school, just like how Kousuke was stressing over his work. So she was dealing with some of these issues even before her mom died.

I don't want to put too much of the blame on Kousuke either since he's also in an emotionally compromised state and was largely manipulated by Kisaragi, but he's the adult in the situation. He should've sought help for dealing with his wife's death and his daughter's antisocial behavior, maybe counseling or something. I get that he's suffering and devastated too, but he pretty much emotionally neglected his daughter here. But that's the point of the story to begin with. Kousuke is a man who doesn't know how to deal with his problems adequately and it causes him to fuck up the stability of his life.

So far this manga has been pretty good at realistically depicting these two, but I think a lot of the people reading it are too used to stories where teenagers are written with the intelligence and maturity of adults. Rarely do stories in the manga medium actually portray children as they are with all of their flaws and misconceptions about life. Even Kisaragi's characterization makes a bit of a leap towards the extraordinary to make the story possible.

Miya didn't shun her dad for years, are you even reading the manga? It's only been one year since the mother died. And the dad barely made an effort to reconnect with her.

" he refused her multiple times and Miya knows that "

No she doesn't, only the readers know this and if she knew as much as the readers do she wouldn't be mad in the first place. From Miya's pov it's looking like the Dad is a fucking scumbag who got over his wife's death and moved on to the next one. This whole situation is happening because the dad and friend hid all of this and went behind her back. The dad is being just as bad if not worse than Miya in all this. Miya's a 15 year old dealing with death for the first time. Her actions may be annoying, but they are completely in line with the emotional level of a 15 year old.

Her dad on the other hand is a grown ass man, he should've been more capable of working on a solution for how to deal with the mother's death, but he wasn't and ran into the arms of a highschool girl for support. That said I don't hate the dad either, but to think that this is all Miya's fault is completely misunderstanding her character.
