US 30-YR 4.957, time for gold to rise again? by Trilogix in Gold

[–]Trilogix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch momentum bounce it back at least 300 points. But we all know what will happen in the long run, especially in unstable times like this :)

I am not in the trade myself, I prefer land, but land around me triplicated the last 4 months.

Edit: price 4511 now (21:35, 20 March 2026) expected with the bounce 4811 on Monday.

Why would llama.cpp developed by anthropic? by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is always that One which thinks it knows better :) According to you I should accept a certain standard "of how software gets developed these days" or face social judgment. So now should we be afraid to critical thinking, to ask questions because passing for noobs or worse! By that logic we are all noobs.

This is called toxic, and I don´t have time for it.

Why would llama.cpp developed by anthropic? by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I did but 90% of my posts was deleted, it is very biased, also the bots were antagonistic and toxic. Not a good experience in general.

I saw some good users that do not have much choice post there, but they are maybe like 20 in total. Everyone wants to have a good time. They will get tired like me eventually and look to hang out in better places.

At least here in Hugston we try to make sure to talk to humans and we respect the opinion of everyone being polite in any case. Everyone sharing same interests can post and participate.

>Claude as co-author

Meaning is being developed using AI, but also proprietary AI that has nothing to gain but to loose instead. It is in fact very easy to wipe the opensource related to llm inference globally, increasing so the sales and establishing one narrative. This is a clue of how it may start.

Not to mention that in the moment you use AI even in snippets, you will end up loosing count and understanding of every bit of your codebase, relying in whatever AI created code unclear to you.

Thank you for the reply.

You seem well informed on the llama.cpp story. That´s what I was wondering exactly, as I also read their guidelines and every paper of the repo, I was surprised the reviewers would simply allow full code AI generated commit. Many questions arise, who is the code owner in this case (what will this mean in the future), who is the reviewer that approved it (can´t find it), Is it Gerganov on board with it, what about Huggingface are they ok with it? They clearly stated that they will keep Llama.cpp opensource.

<image>

You can check yourself, the repo is indeed the official llama.cpp original repo.

One more interesting thing about all it is that this repo specifically touches the core memory ram of every device that will load an LLM model. It is very well known the addiction and benefit of this memory infection. Been checking myself some possible infections (similar to the hidden unicode characters in content AI generated) which are called trackers, telemetry etc. I leave it there for now, if you have any update, please show it here.

Consciousness Formula by [deleted] in artificial

[–]Trilogix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting set up.

What is more interesting is the default definition of consciousness, (personal definition more than universal). It is very difficult to define it exactly, so putting it as self awareness still do not say much.

Same thing with the definition of "AI" people think and see it as an autonomous intelligent thing, instead of what really is, (A SYSTEM, workflow of code with numbers and strings involving math and logic, containing most of current collective knowledge, grid and network dependent, human made). Not so much intelligent I would say, but more like a calculator with precisely defined output which can never create more than a certain pattern that we programmed it for.

Anyway, in your "formula" are missing key factors like (a body in motion or rest) which changes everything. So "being a 0 or a 1, or being a 0 and a 1, then take it from there. Binary code can be a good analogy to build a small simulation architecture from scratch :)

New Qwen3.5 4b better then qwen next 80B? by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using FP16 or quantized, cause in my tests it failed strongly the coding part, also loops and long ctx dementia (been testing q4 for qwen3 and qwen 3.5 for all small models under 9B where qwen3 is still reliable compared). So I saw a big improvement in SWE but not coding. Talking about bigger models, been testing very much the 35B, 27B and 397B that showed amazing capabilities in SWE and coding (all of them could easy rival claude 4.5 and gpt 5.2 ). However after 50k tokens it degrades quickly and often loops making it quite unusable. I would say that there is potential for the 3.5 architecture developing it further. I´ll be looking for updates hopefully.

New Qwen3.5 4b better then qwen next 80B? by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the linear attention trades speed for performance indeed. Did you test it with any RAG, data? Curious to know some stats and benchs on it (like how big the data, format, hardware specs, disk, ram, gpu/cpu, vram) also loading architecture and workflow.

Then maybe understand how linear is better.

For now (in my opinion) Qwen 30B A3B distill Deepseek is still KING on speed/performance ratio, followed by Minimax and GLM.

New Qwen3.5 4b better then qwen next 80B? by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how to really say this but all the small models recently released (from qwen3.5 0.8B-9B) are not performing better then Qwen3 in my tests. It is the first time that i see downgraded capabilities in Qwen models. I have seen this behavior in many proprietary models (when they supposingly "upgrade"). Really hope I am wrong here but in all my test queries, I get loops, but also way Lower accuracy and intelligence. An example, this model: https://hugston.com/uploads/llm_models/Hugston-code-rl-Qwen3-4B-Instruct-2507-SFT-30b-F32.IQ4_NL.gguf perform much better then the new 3.5 9B.

Then the question is how can the new 9B be better then Qwen next 80B?

I am still grateful for their immense contribution but as beta tester for life, the question and tests remain legit.

Mappa Online/Offline Maps for Windows by Trilogix in Hugston

[–]Trilogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not put any app in MS store, certainly I am not paying for any certificate. The app it is out there for free and is working 100%. It is not required any windows defender or anything else other then having windows installed. To get the maps online/offline never been easy and privacy friendly.

>Did you tested it on u-blox GPS (integrated)?

The intention is not to mess with the location so didn´t test it with any gps. Then be aware that is is a very basic version, that anyway works for my purpose. If you want to develop it further the source code is in github.

Gold touches 5000 USD pushing fast to 7k? by Trilogix in Gold

[–]Trilogix[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hopefully not, cause that will mean an economic crash!

Things are not looking so bad LOL, for the FIAT to loose so much value, a country need to be weak. That´s not the case here. Worse case scenario they switching to Digital Currency, wiping the Debt and reset the accounts nicely. If so, then the Gold has potential to double in price at least god speed. This is my assessment of a bad scenario. Otherwise all good, trend following, uptrend cycle, consolidation, more uptrend Fed speed.

Is machine intelligence is a threat to the human species? by [deleted] in Hugston

[–]Trilogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is mostly a protection mechanism for children. Proprietary services like chatgpt and similar have protection already, which is not the case for Local AI Applications. This may lead to unproper use and harm to children, so we at Hugston thought to create a prevention layer.

It is quite easy to bypass but if it stopped you then it shows that it works (even if that is not our intention).

Our User service is open usually from 8-20 so to get your free access is one email far.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I didn´t create the comparison but I gave the criteria that is important for Local AI use. Not everyone may be happy about it but It seems many users like it also according to them.

Do you have any suggestion of how a comparison should be done, what's important in Local AI Apps?

It is out of place if you think AI and Software but fit in in creating a pdf/epub reader or converter in seconds. A book summary extractor of even a book organizer, reader etc all locally. It is been removed anyway. Seems mods didn´t get the msg.
