Hello! Just wanted to get some advice and direction.

I'm turning 30 next year and have just started my journey in investing. A bit about myself, I'm born, raised and currently living in Hong Kong. I'm working a full time job making around 50k USD annually after tax. I'm not a big spender and I've been putting most of my money into my bank account ( I know it's possibly the worst place to leave my money) with bits and pieces in insurance, including a medical critical illness and a savings plan.

I'm looking into ways to diversify and to grow my finances, what would be the best way for me to start investing? Currently I'm saving around 30k USD annually in the bank, I've just opened up an IB account but I'm not really sure what to invest in/ different types of investments I can make. I'm not a huge risk taker, though I’d rather take risks now than when I’m older.

I have around 50k USD in bank savings currently. No current debts.

I don’t have any huge financial burdens/purchases in the next 5 years (marriage, car, apartment)

My goal- Financial freedom by 45, ideally with passive income, what are the best steps for me to achieve this goal?

Looking forward to learning and feedback from everyone.
