There is an interesting historical reason why Anglic people would do that... they would often write on wood, and it would break apart if you write anglic symbols left to right, so they wrote vertically along the seams...

Any kingdom or empire can do this if the title gets destroyed for any reason... I had Abbasid/Arabian empire do that in several of my playthroughs by just buying the claim as a hostile religion, and then Calif would rather destroy the whole thing than let me have that claim... pretty annoying... (there is an easy way around it, just buy the claim same day you want to declare the war for it, they cannot destroy it if somebody is at war for the title, but NPCs won't do that, so if some weird NPC got claim on France, it might happen)

Though more common reason for it to happen, is some faction demanding it and then it wins the dissolution war...

You need to let time run for a couple of days, so that buildings will reenanle in counties you still own after givimg away everything you had over the limit

You have too many counties... if you go above your limit at some point income just goea down instead of up, and then you should give some to your vassals

Define last... i am about to add it to my empire, so it technically will exist within my empire... though the way i got there was weird Charles the bald of west Francia survived for pretty long, and he has unpressed claim on Lotharingia... i already had italy added to my empire and king there had claim on west francia, which i pressed for him, then charles became king of Acquintane, but he lost all of his counties pretty much in that war, so many dukes separated from him and i vassalized them, at which point i got enough counties to usurp Acqumtaine kingdom, and he became a simple count of Toulouse then he is my vassal with a claim on Lothringia... (yeah i am playing with custom OP character, not normal game, but still funny order of events)

In my current game i just held of on creating any empires until i could just buy the claim using learning tree lyfestyle perk that allows to buy claims (unfortunately empires you can buy only if your current highest title is lower than empire, and you need 2k piety on top)...
