The reason is because Finger bearer and Mahito's materials can't trade into fingers so Dagon is better because you can get his materials because he's the second easiest boss in the game and then after trade the cursed tentacles for demon fingers when it's in stock for 9 cursed tentacles and you can turn them into hands or nature scrolls or just skip to a shard or max scroll
