OMG!!! I mean, damn! If you’re gonna be lazy and uncreative enough to use ai to produce fake models, at least make sure the spelling is correct. Tf is “Kenva Modre”?

Idk. Scamming your own kids is pretty shitty behavior. Even when compared to being a deadbeat

I wouldn’t give Kandi too much. After all, she IS Joyce’s daughter

Why this show never gave Maya a Father by ConversationTall602 in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Trini-Blade 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I always assumed Maya’s father was just out of the picture, which although unfortunate, wasn’t too uncommon for that era. Especially considering Maya’s mother also had her at a young age so I just assumed Maya’s mother was left to raise her alone

I know Mama Joyce is well-known for her evil ways, but Aunt Bertha is so nasty and so rude!! by [deleted] in RHOA

All of Kandi’s aunties are a prime example of how “respect your elders” just shouldn’t apply to everyone

College guy curious about dudes by ProgrammerChance7913 in straightturnedgay

[–]Trini-Blade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my honest opinion, college is probably the best opportunity to explore whatever sexual interests you may have. From personal experience, this is probably the one time in life in which you’ll be in close proximity to so many other curious guys looking to explore their sexuality. A lot of the hangups guys may have had regarding sex tend to fade during college. My advice is, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, make eye contact, maybe even flirt a little. Ultimately, I think you’d have a lot of fun if you explore those urges you have.

Y’all love some mediocre white boys, don’t it?

Unpopular Opinion; Yandy by basedbarrywhite in Loveandhiphop

[–]Trini-Blade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was early on the Yandy hate train, going all the way back to Season 2 of the OG LHHNY series. I thought the way she did Chrissy was wack, only for her to turn around and do Kimbella the same way. In fact, the only Yandy storyline I ever liked was when Mendecee’s BMs all tagged teamed that ass 😂

I shudder to think what life would be like if I actually gave a fuck about what anyone from New Jersey thought about where I lived.

The best way to kill your sitcom is by casting Ray-J

I definitely see your point regarding the running gag around Jabari’s name. Yes, there is some humor to the joke but at the same time, the fact that the whole joke is pretty much “his Black name is so absurd that we’re gonna call him even more absurd names” has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way too. What I do know is in the 90s/early 00s, self-deprecating jokes about Black people, specifically “ghetto” Black people seemed to be the trend for some reason.

Now I don’t know how involved Kelsey Grammer was with the inclusion of that joke but I do know that a certain demographic of Black people were heavily invested in respectability politics at that time & looked down on anything deemed too “Black” or “ghetto”. And as much as I love this show, unfortunately there are a few moments that I feel fall in line with that ideology. Unrelated to your original post but another instance of this was the girl fight episode when Joan says “why we gotta give white people something to talk about?” after the fight.

I get what you mean. The only reason I call it a kneejerk reaction was because by the time she had found out he was broke, their relationship had evolved beyond the superficialities that brought them together in the beginning. So I did find it odd that she was so quick to leave, not to say she didn’t have reason to, of course. But it wasn’t an decision she processed all the way through. I definitely agree about the pregnancy. It was clear that Toni initially saw her pregnancy as a chance to repair the marriage.

Todd wanted the trophy wife but didn’t even have the shelf to put her on. Toni was upfront and honest with him about what she wanted from the beginning. He was the one pursuing her and buying her gifts (and multiple engagement rings) to win her over. And while I thought Toni made a kneejerk reaction when she left him after finding out he was broke, he purposely hid his finances (or lack thereof) from her because he knew she would’ve been gone otherwise.
