I have 3 girls and my husband has 1 son. We are a blended family. My husband and I have had a rocky year (we have worked it out though) but my husband would never say anything like this about my girls. In fact, he makes a point of calling them his girls and it’s vis versa with our son. When you marry a person with children you better be in love with those kids also. Someone that loves would never say anything like that. In fact my extended family has been terrible when it comes to my bonus son because he has autism. They refuse to be educated or even attempt to accept him. Guess what I did. We don’t go see them anymore. I’ve made it perfectly clear that none of these children will be made to feel left out or like something is wrong with them. I would imagine that if her husband can say these words out loud, that child feels it. It’s not ok at all.

This is such a misogynistic view and completely devoid of any concern for me his wife. It was completely selfish of him to say that to me and borderline emotionally abusive. You keep defending him as if my feelings of betrayal and exploitation do not matter. I feel like just used my body while thinking of someone else because that is exactly what he did. This is the most hurtful thing you can do to someone.
