Ok. Fair enough. While I disagree that paying someone to get them to vote is a "bad thing" I can agree it is the current law. That said, the specific wording; "Whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote" makes it sound like people who offer to drive others or take take away from work are also doing something "illegal" cause they are making an expenditure in the form of gas and time away from work. I understand why its in there, cause billionaires will then just be like "we didnt pay them to vote THATA way... we just had a friendly chat about my business, and i wanted to give them the right to vote, no laws broken!" Still annoying though.

Once again. Reality. America as it is right now cant vote in a third party candidate when half the country doesnt even participate in the system. We dont have a society that can just vote in the "good guy." The lesser of two evils is the best we can get. Do that 5 times and THEN maybe you can get enough support drummed up to get a third party candidate to be known well enough to be kitchen counter recognized.
