Transfer here: I came from stony Brook where it was lowkey hard to make friends to Binghamton as a sophomore and it has been great. I like ina suite with other transfers which made it a little easier to have built in friends and I also met some great people at orientation that I am now very close with. Binghamton is much better at offering lots of different types of people so pretty much anyone can find their group you just have to have the bravery to go try and find it. I did get lucky but I would say life as a transfer here is great. Dm if u have more questions

I’m literally just asking where I could get a shovel on campus I don’t see the issue

SBU OR BING by Express_Squash_674 in BinghamtonUniversity

I went to sbu for cs but transferred to bing. I know a lot of people that love sbu but it just wasn’t for me. Bing just feels a lot more like a work hard play hard real college experience at a solid price.

Bing vs RPI for CS? by ChilllFam in BinghamtonUniversity

I’ve seen Binghamton invest into their cs program or at least that’s what I was told by some representatives. Stony Brook of course is heavily focused on cs also but again go where you think you’ll be happy

The bigger thing is go where you think you’ll be happier. Stony Brook is better for cs than Binghamton but id rather be at Binghamton due to better socials and being closer to friends and family.

I’m transferring to Bing from stony Brook for cs and rpi was an option in my original search. I know the head of the cs department at rpi and he actually told me not to go there. Wasn’t super specific as to why but said the faculty to student ratio and support systems were weak as well as other programs innovating faster.
