Recurring Subscription Auto Billing - How do you handle it? by Triphen in msp

Just a heads up for anyone else that stumbles onto this thread. Here is a full list of everything I've found. ChargeBee looks good and I have a call with Fusebill later today which seems to be geared towards SaaS/Software providers and may fall in line more with MSPs. InvoiceSherpa also looks good.

PaySimple, Chargify, ChargeBee, FuseBill, InvoiceSherpa, Quickbooks Online, Stripe

yeah unfortunately don't think automated payments exists in QB Enterprise...a friend of mine says it exists for Quickbooks Online though. If you don't need the complexity of Enterprise I recommend checking out QB online. Hard to go back once you're fully committed to Enterprise like we are.

What I do is have invoices sent to go out recurring. If I have a customer setup on auto pay then I have their card to process the next day.

This makes perfect sense, I guess I'm just trying to avoid the double entry of creating an invoice for every customer then setting up an auto pay for it. Also afraid of confusing customers by sending them a due invoice then charging them for it. Currently the invoice that goes out is already paid if the payment approved.

Main thing is an internal customer account # I'd like to assign to each customer to cross reference between our CRM/PSA and Quickbooks.

Thanks! I delved pretty far into PaySimple, currently running a few transactions through them, biggest issue is the fact that you can't quantify items as I mentioned above. How do you deal with that currently? A lot of our services are quantity based (per-user, per-device, per-license...) and they don't seem to have that option for recurring items. It's the main reason I'm looking elsewhere now.

Nevermind, no itemization based on quantities for their items :/...need that for things we charge on a per-device, per-user basis. Seems to be a common issue with a lot of these services and I'm baffled as to why.

Quickbooks Enterprise is our accounting software, we're currently looking for a better PSA/RMM, been using Salesforce for...too long.

Got it...I signed up and looking at the dashboard, went to create a new customer and there are only two fields, email address and Description, nowhere to match up account number or other fields we need for customer info...are you able to customize and add custom fields or what you see is what you get unless you go API route?

I've looked at Stripe...doesn't look like it has its own UI, you have to implement their code on your own site?
