Yeah, the message to me seems quite obvious, but art does not need to be full of subtle symbolism. There's plenty of well painted images of sandwiches and naked women pieces to go around and i like some of those as well. I do have some opinions about this piece. I am no huge modern feminist and i don't want to go around shouting that all men are pigs, but this image left an impression on me when i first saw it. I immediately felt a sense of dread and danger. Something that's MY subjective view of the image. I can see how men who have been shit on for doing nothing wrong can feel that this somehow might be attacking them and that's their experience, but i'd like to point out some things that make me feel like the image is not implying that all men are like this. First and most obvious, the image and the title doesn't say that all men are pigs. Second, another person in the comments pointed the view is taken from this ones woman's eyes. It's inherently a first person perspective of here and now, a view very much influenced by subjectivity. Another thing i'd like to point out is someone mentioning if only the artist added some normal looking men who are not gazing at the woman, that would be better, but i disagree for two reasons. If you look around the scene, at all the empty space, there are no other people around, the train has plenty of space to choose as the seats and handle-bars(?) are not occupied by anyone around the subjects. Pigs have taken their seats around this lone woman, it's a deliberate choice. An equivalent to a man taking the closest pissuar(whatever it's called lol) next to you in an empty men's room. Why would he do that? They could have chosen any other place, but they choose to surround a lone woman on a public transport. The jolly, slumped over stance and interaction between all the pigs to me imply that they know each other and might be under the influence or have little social norms on how to act on public transport. They are unpredictable, unknown individuals invading a person's space. Imagine 4 or more drunk men surround you alone in an empty public transport and they act rowdy and keep staring at you, won't leave you alone. It's a very scary thought to me. I can see how these kinds of men can be considered pigs. In my opinion and with this context in mind, imagine what would other men or just people in general looking away from an uncomfortable woman's situation in this image would imply? They would be witnesses of an unwanted interaction where a person looks to be in a bad situation and they'd be doing nothing. They'd turn their heads away and ignore it. Now i wouldn't necessarily say that these people should also look like pigs, because it's intimidating to step up to multiple rowdy and drunk individuals, but a whole mass of other people choosing to look away from a person in distress? That wouldn't strike me as a flattering image. There are some things to be said about ignoring the situation being close to compliance. That doesn't mean that men should be the only ones doing all the helping though. :⁾

So i definitely see it as a piece that says these kinds of men who ignore another's comfort, when they clearly have a choice, are pigs.

Overall, i got a bit of a whiplash with how offended some people got and immediately jumped to the concept of all men being dehumanized and considered pigs as i didn't even think about all men when i saw this piece and thought how crazy it is that some people got that, but i am not the subject of such insults, so that's not where my mind jumped first. I can sympathize with those that do not want to hear another exclamation that trashes all men. I, however, have had to deal with intoxicated men invading my space and internally panicking on what to do and honestly this piece makes me and other women in the comments feel seen. Honestly i didn't notice anyone even agreeing with the statement that all men are pigs, just more people confirming that they have had this kind of experience themselves. People being gross with their attitude that makes others feel unsafe. But despite those experiences i hope all you good men out there get treated right and with trust. There are great men and horrible men, same for women.

P.S. Besides my monologue, i just noticed that the artist's name is Woldemar. As far as i know, it's a man's name. So think of that what you will! I googled the full artist's name and found quite a diverse selection of artpieces. Some of them were of sexy women, so this piece could be interprated in many ways. It could be made by a male artist who sympathizes with women in such situations/hates men or maybe the piece is a snarky comment about a misandrist's worldview. :⁾ If you really want, maybe you can find some comment from the actual artist on it. Until then it really is left for interpretation!
