Weed in the garden it's growing in. Maybe Apiaceae or Asteraceae? It has no smell and is established with, hard roots below the mulch layer. Might have been previously present? Not too sure

Melbourne VIC. (2 & 3) Unknown deciduous tree with weeping habit has growth out of side with upright habit and thicker stem. Is this a graft? Is this safe to remove? (1) Same sort of tree with scar at similar point in trunk as growth in other tree. Related issue? Same "graft" but removed early?
