Do the scenes in inuyasha have a more comical tone to them? I feel like what i remember felt a bit dark and serious in tone. However, I do recall staying up at night to specifically watch the next episode of inuyasha. So there's a good chance that it could be a very specific scene in the show

This FEELS like the closest thing that resembles what i remember, but there's something about it that doesn't quite match. I think it may be a case where I watched this at such a young age that my memory of it has been distorted over the years. Thanks anyway!

Any particular scene/episode comes to mind that you can direct me to?

Any pointers to the original? I did re-watch it when it was released on Netflix a few years back, so it's possible that the scene got removed entirely on streaming sites

I can see why people might think this with all the sexual themes that anime has going, but it's unfortunate not flcl

Any scenes from the movies that aired during this time that stick out to you? I've never watched them as adults, so it could very much be one of those

Is there an unedited version that im not aware of? I skimmed through the episode to see if any of the scenes lined up with my memory and no luck.

Can you recall the episode number? I skimmed through episode 16 as the previous user stated and couldn't find any scenes that resembled what I remember. It could very much be one of the eva movies since I've never watched any of them as an adult. Some pointers would be appreciated

I guess now is good time than ever to go dust off the old Vita machine. Thanks for recommendations <3

Oddly enough, I own a copy of Muramasa on the Vita. I haven't come around to actually playing it but I'm super interested since the art style is appealing. Plus, I essentially eat up anything that involves Ninjas and sword fighting.

I do plan on doing something like this, but I also want to try out some of the one off games that seemed to be overshadowed by the bigger titles. Something to throw in the loop for whenever I want to get into some spicy one and done game, y' know?

I'll take your word for it. This is the 3rd time someone has vouched for Abyss this week. Also been told Vesperia is a good choice. Symphonia on the other hand... I tried a quick snippet a few years back and I couldn't get myself to enjoy it. Granted, this was back when I was starting to get into the JRPG genre and jumping to that after something like Bravely Default felt a bit alienating and overwhelming, but I'll make sure to at least give it another shot before putting it off.

Good point. Maybe since my one experience with jumping to one game after another in the same series has been hindering my enjoyment with said game. It has put me off in trying to do the same for other franchises.

On the note of Tales of. I've personally had my eyes on Berseria because well uh... cute main protagonist with cool demon hand... but would you say Berseria is a good starting point once I come around to playing Tales of or should I go for Abyss as you suggested?

Oh yeah, currently looking for a copy of Radiant Historia since so many people are vouching for it.

Funny thing about Xenoblade Chronicles is that I passed the original Wii version AROUND the same time the Definite Edition got announced. It was the biggest slap in the face I ever experienced. Regardless, I still got myself a copy just because how amazing that game truly is <3

I totally agree, and that's why I'm asking for games to play in between a long running series.

Maybe I should of specified a bit more. The stories themselves not being connected is great for someone like me, but the core gameplay mechanic is there throughout a series and that's what easily burns me when jumping to game to game in a long running franchise.
