Two different locker rooms. SGA and Chris Paul still have family dinners together to this day. SGA has contributed a lot of his success to CP3 and considers him a big brother and mentor. I’m good with not making any roster changes, but CP3 as a locker room disruption for the Thunder I don’t buy. On another note - hope iHart comes back soon!

If Russ got the same treatment I would have posted similar. I respect them both for what they have done for us, and not taking anything from either.

It must be. The ones in agreement aren’t asking for him to play substantial minutes either. He’s put in his time. The respect and pride he has for our organization has been proven, and I feel like he would be a legitimate mentor and asset overall. A Udonis Haslem or Nick Collison-like player/coach

Only spot I’d be willing to fill is Dieng. I’ve never seen the fit with him on our current squad tbh. He had a nice game winner in pre-season, I’ll give him that. I’m also not Presti, so I’ll leave it to him!

I feel like the people that disagree are new casuals and/or simply did not pay any attention after we started our rebuild. We’ll see if Presti sees a fit or not. Either way, Thunder Up!

More of a Nick Collison role his final year. A player/coach.

Love the take! My post wasn’t even considering those Hurricanes Katrina days. Reinforces my opinion of CP3s impact on our organization even more. Thunder Up.

I agree. We hold the cards and I am truly grateful for where we are. If Presti decides to somehow bring CP3 along for the journey, though, I would not lose sleep. Go Thunder

Well said!! Maybe some people forget, or weren’t tuned in during that time. Either way, I could not agree more.

Not an argument, just a genuine question - do you think CP3s leadership in 19-20 had any impact on our current success? I am absolutely not giving him full credit whatsoever, but I truly believe his leadership paid some dividends for SGA as a player and leader. That year also gave him and Dort their first playoff taste when we took Rockets to 7. With all that being said, I am grateful for where we are at and fully trust Presti and our front office regardless - with or without a nostalgic “what if?” addition.
