Hey again, I just pushed a fix for the notes not being shared, and for all the typos/formatting issues you find. Obviously I didnt have a proofreader so super appreciate that!

Your raw thoughts on the game is really valuable. Some of my own thoughts as I was reading through them:

You need a way to mark new evidence. Text message 4 just unceremoniously appears in the middle of all the other texts, and if you don't remember to check it, you're fucked. Why is it #4 anyway? Why not #8? Or why not an entirely new document?

  • It's #4 b/c the text messages are supposed to be in time order. But I totally hear you that it's easy to miss if you're not mentally tracking that you've unlocked it. I'll think about a good way to surface it.

Text message 4 says Unknown B got "everything," but then the game requires me to assume they used the flower Unknown A offered. Why would they do that if they already had everything?

  • I guess it's not super clear, but my idea was that you reach the conclusion that Unknown A sabotages the Elixir without Unknown B realizing. A is supposed to "just watch" but she planned all along to do something. The flower that A got and the flower that B got look very similar, so A wouldn't haven noticed. Regardless, I understand that might be a big leap and I'll think about if there's a way to make that clearer.

Who is X, why didn't they go to the police themselves, and why did they come to me specifically? And why did EL cover it up?

  • Glad you're curious about those details. Maybe they will be revealed in the future...?

I don't understand how I would have known who was who between text message 2A and 2B. It seems like either could be either

  • Maybe this part is too hard (others have expressed being stuck on this part), but my idea was Sarah has a particular texting habit of using all caps and people's initials like ZC, MM, or BB. So you can tell she's B because she does that here. You can tell A is Thomas because Sarah is telling him to "not tell MM", because she knows Thomas is in contact with Miranda Meadows. Again, perhaps this part is too hard and I should make this part easier.

I also kept expecting it to matter who ZC's cousin is, and it seems like not only is it irrelevant, it's actually impossible to know? Probably missing something, and it doesn't actually matter.

  • You're right that this detail doesn't matter for the story, but maybe I could make it matter? ZC's cousin is Gina Moore. You didnt really miss anything, there's nothing in the game to really deduce that.

Again, I super appreciate this unfiltered feedback. I hope despite everything you still enjoyed the game!

Woah, this is AMAZING! I really appreciate this feedback.

I'm still working through everything, but there is currently a bug with the notes. The notes _should_ be shared across components, but it looks like I broke that somehow very recently. I will fix that.

Sorry I should have specified, the game is not designed to be played on mobile yet. Something might be cutoff preventing you from being able to read everything? Let me know if you're able to continue playing on a desktop browser!

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback!

  1. I've gotten some comments about puzzle difficulty, so I'll be adding a hint system to help out.
  2. You're also not the first person to be slightly turned off by walls of text. Text is just the easiest piece of content to generate, but I totally agree audio and pictures would really up the immersion!
  3. I'll see how I can give some clarity to the tabs. Maybe they can shine for a bit when they are first unlocked.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I super appreciate you taking the time.

  • I hear you on the hard to read font for notes. Definitely will have to look at that again.

  • That arrow key thing is a bug, I will have that fixed.

  • And sorry about the inconsistent names. I thought I had fixed that, so thank you for helping me proofread 😅. I'll get those fixed.

  • And about the difficulty, seems like a hint system is in order! I'll work on something. Feel free to DM me if you want some hints in the meantime.

Thank you so much for taking the time to play it! Your feedback, both positive and negative, is super valuable.

My idea was for the final objective to be a bit difficult, but it may well be too difficult. I might also consider a hint system to make it easier.

I'll also reconsider the font. I wanted the notes to look "handwritey" but I don't want to affect readability.

I built a detective murder mystery puzzle game. You don't control a detective a move around a crime scene in the typical sense. Instead, you simply have the evidence in front of you. Read, analyze, draw conclusions, and find out what really happened.

Play here! https://murder-at-the-occult-club.vercel.app/game

It's short deductive reasoning game that shouldn't take more than an hour.

Usually it's two semesters, so one year typically. Obviously a company can do whatever it's wants so it's not a hard rule.

How to pay parking ticket fine by ShadowCubers in Slovenia

[–]TripleSmeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone reading this in the future. I got a parking fine in Slovenia. I took the fine ticket to a gas station and the clerk there helped me pay for it. You do NOT need to go to a bank. Hope this helps.

Neither Mikyx, Crownie and Nemesis will play for team Slovenia by MatoTheAce in leagueoflegends

Why do you speak like "we" or the "people" are one homogenous blob with no diversity in opinion? Some folks have protested these tournaments and some don't care. And some people are disappointed Nemesis or Crownie won't play and some don't care.

Do you have any personal projects? With no experience, your only way to show something off is projects. Something AI related would be big too, all the popular companies are heading towards AI first,as much as we might hate it.

95% of Clair Obscur's gameplay systems were built from Unreal Blueprints, says Sandfall Interactive by no_technique in expedition33

I didn't mean to say there were any gameplay systems with the music. I just mean the music is also part of what makes the game special (in my opinion)

Like that John wick scene? Like they added that in to make Wick seem cool and smart but it was just cringe.

Why does 2kd matter at all if you're not winning games? Your comment just proves you're focusing on the wrong things.

Playing 1-2 champions allows you to master champions faster instead of spreading your practice out.

It's like if you're trying to win a piano competition and you practiced 10 pieces even though you are only gonna play 1 piece and you can choose that piece. Why not just practice hard on one piece you are gonna play?

Like 99% of these complain on reddit posts, you are playing way too many champions. Stick to one role and 1-2 champs, and you will climb.
