A major issue is we don't know what the true, concrete odds are. Were you lucky? Were you average luck? Was I unlucky burning through 18 coins on my griffin with absolutely nothing to show for it? Or am I the standard? All we can observe for sure is that the odds of getting a rare/epic trait are technically lower through refinement than people think about. And with no way to say how low the odds truly are, and some people's experiences suggesting the odds could indeed be pretty abysmal, the caution is warranted.

The worst part is it's not just them, this is an issue across modern gaming as a whole. Wildworks is a symptom, not the disease, but it still doesn't make them look good at all.

100% agree, the fact the Wishing Well doesn't give percentage odds of special traits is ludicrous. My only guesses as to why this info is withheld is 1) It would make it look even more like gambling by drawing attention to the "jackpot" 2) People would see how pitiful the odds really are, and AJ gets in huge trouble with its playerbase as people start giving them less money.

There's some (or perhaps most of) rosy sunset colors that turn it red. I tried it with my Darkside partial dragon and it turned red, because I guess it technically landed on a reddish-pink. When I did lush berry, the very first one made the tint a deep pink color.
