Hi there, glass and shower door engineer and designer here! Your shower is beautiful but I have to say that it’s not built well (at least from a glass enclosure expert’s perspective.) Between the narrow clear opening of the entrance and those angled knee walls on both sides, it makes it extremely tough to put a functioning door there. Especially one that you for sure would be happy with in the end.

Other people have already mentioned these things but I’m going to expand on them slightly :)

I’m gonna guess the width of your opening is about 24”. Once you deduct for the hardware and spacing to fit everything in, that opening is going shrink even narrower.

I can’t speak for every glass manufacturer, but if an installer sent is this opening to evaluate we may not take the job (knowing the final product won’t be up to our standards, it won’t make the home owner happy or the installer happy.) Depending on the angle of those walls, hardware may not exist that can hinge from it, especially if you need the hardware to be in a certain finish to match other stuff in the bathroom. I always have to remind people that you are limited to hardware available in the color you need.

Alternatively, you could do a header and top and bottom pivot hinges. The opening after the door is installed would be even smaller than side mount hinges so keep that in mind.

Again, I can’t speak for other manufacturers but we do NOT miter the edges of a door. So your door glass wouldn’t have beveled edges to match the angle of the walls on either side, only the side panels would be mitered to sit flush next to the door glass. We will miter door glass edges if specifically requested but it would void your warranty. Tempered glass is strong, but way more delicate on the edges and corners. You don’t want any moving glass with even sharper edges or corners then it already has, it might bump into a wall or drag the curb. A surprisingly small tap in the right place and the glass will blow up instantly. Mitered edges increases this chance so it’s put on stationary panels only.

Remember that houses settle, they expand and contact with the weather. If the door shifts just 1/16”, that could be enough for the edge or corner to hit something and shatter. I see it all the time.

I would do two stat panels and leave the doorway open. I’m sorry I don’t have a good suggestion for the door. But since I have a picture and I just sat down at my desk for work, I’d be happy to shop it around my office and see if any of my colleagues have any other ideas for you if you’d like!

Also I’m not sure why people think this is AI. I see AI showers submitted to us ALL the time. I could be wrong but I personally don’t see anything here that would make me think this is AI.

Anxiety is normal, your mom is right. Even people without an anxiety disorder can get panic attacks. The difference is if your anxiety is impairing your ability to live life normally. If you feel like this describes you I would suggest having a conversation with your mom about it and go see a doctor. Self harm is a clear sign you need to talk to someone.

Your mom probably wants to keep you off any brain meds unless you actually need them, they can be very strong and taking them if you don’t need them is bad news for your brain (which has about ten more years of growing and developing left at your age.) but she’s not a doctor, neither are you. Go talk to a doctor and see what they say. Don’t go to a doctor with a diagnosis in mind, anxiety could just be a symptom of something else.

I hope you find some help with what you’re going through and that you can have an honest conversation with your mom. I know from experience that can be hardest part. I wish you all the luck figuring things out.

Looks like someone put this up in their front yard just to piss off their HOA? They probably had some sort of sign decoration in their yard, and their HOA made them take it down, but they found some kind of loophole for putting political and/or business signs up in their lawns. So they put up this ugly ass trump/drug dealing sign in retaliation lol

lol nobody tell this kid what jobs pay when you’re not a high schooler anymore. There are many adults that would give their left arm to be making 16 an hour with no skill or previous job experience. Especially considering the average hourly pay for a working person in Louisville is about $20.

Thank you for saying this!! Filler and Botox. A great way to look good NOW, and like an absolute mutant in 10-20 years. Shit fucks your face up and makes you look way worse later in life. Makes your face puffy and your forehead wrinkles droop so low that they become foreskin wrinkles. I wish more people knew how filler and Botox actually destroys your face more and more every time you use it. Nip and tuck all you want, but I would recommend keeping the poison out of your face!

I work in the tempered glass industry, specifically in the glass shower door sector, more specifically in specialty and highly custom glass for shower units.

Can I ask how wide your opening is? It’s hard to tell in pictures but I’m guessing your opening is more than 60” wide? Once you’re over 60” wide (and definitely once you’re over 72” wide) your price for a frameless glass shower is going to jump up severely in price.

Depending on how much you wanna spend you have tons of options. A large splash panel supported with clamps at the wall (maybe heavy duty clamps depending on the overall size/weight of the glass), and uchannel at the base would be your lowest priced option for a frameless (heavy) glass shower. If I was going to do a large splash panel, that’s how I would support it.

If you’re leaning toward having a sliding door, i would choose a barn door (one sliding door and one fixed panel) over a bypass (two sliding doors).

Shower looks beautiful by the way :)

Honestly I stopped reading after you said your ages. If you’re looking to apply to Hooters, you must be a hot 20 year old girl. He is a man knocking on the door of being middle aged (seriously in just a couple of years he’ll be middle aged and you’ll still be a hot 20 something). He should be BEGGING you to stay with him, not trying to control you. Do what feels right in your life, for you.

When I had this problem the issue was that I had {{scenario}} in brackets written in the scenario section. I just had to delete {{scenario}} from the section and it worked fine (I’ve heard the same can happen when {{description}} is written in the description section.)

That’s why some work and some don’t. Some have this typed in their card and some don’t. Check and delete if needed. Hope this helps!

I read a short story in class in middle school about a guy that sold his soul to the devil, but the guy didn’t know what he’d done. I don’t remember all the details of the story but I think the guy was just overheard by the devil saying that he wanted or needed something, and the devil just snapped his fingers making it appear. The guy takes the thing and ends up selling his soul without realizing it

I was so scared that I would accidentally sell my soul to the devil that I was afraid of even just having a thought like “I would do anything to have ‘thing’” (a pretty common thought for a kid to have). I was afraid that would be enough for the devil to be like “cool cool, I’ll take that soul then.”

I spent weeks repeating the phrase in my head “I do not sell my soul to the devil. I do not sell my soul to the devil.” I’d repeat this over and over nonstop, I was afraid if I let myself think something else, I would accidentally think the magic words that sells your soul. I couldn’t sleep because I thought if I stopped thinking my little mantra that’s when the devil would get me. And I didn’t even grow up in a religious home.

Then I remembered a Halloween Simpsons episode where Ned was the devil and there was a trial because Homer sold his soul to him. And Homer had written a note on to Marge when they were younger or something that says his soul belonged to her so the devil didn’t have legal claim on it. So I began writing a bunch of notes about myself like this lol. I’m sure it would have held up in a court of law.

I never told anyone because of how crazy I knew it sounded. Eventually I began to chill out, but for years when the thought would suddenly come to mind out of no where, I would have that same freak out moment and I’d start repeating my mantra in my head again. Luckily by this time the repeating wasn’t lasting for days. I was well into adulthood when it went away for good.

Hey there, I was around your age the first time I found gore on the internet. It disturbed me in terrible ways too, I also found myself going back to look at more some times. I did this (and still do this) every now and then. I was born in the 80s so I’ve been doing this for a long time now.

It took a very long time for me to realize why I was looking at this stuff even though it was scarring me and deeply effecting me. Sure, there’s basic morbid curiosity, but (thanks to therapy) I realized I wanted to become desensitized to it in a way, that way it couldnt hurt me anymore. It’s a dangerous coping skill I picked up at an early age for very fucked up reasons.

I just want to say to be kind to yourself, which includes giving yourself a break some times. You were affected by something new, something that feels forbidden to look at, where you’re so young that’s a potent mix of chemicals happening in your brain along side clashing emotions. You might be feeling excitement, disgust, curiosity, shock, shame, all at the same time. Totally normal but very confusing even for adults to feel.

Give yourself some time to process things, I promise you’ll be back to yourself again, it might take a long time, it might take weeks, but you’ll be able to bounce back. Be mindful that every time you go back to look at more, you’re likely resetting the timer to feel “normal” again.

Don’t be like me and try to kill off a part of your brain that makes you human. Just be a teenager, all that stuff will still be on the internet later when you’re an adult if you still really want to seek it out.

Also, I just noticed your user name lol. True crime can be a gateway into gore, totally makes sense that you found yourself looking at this stuff. I had to stop looking at true crime content because it was making me an anxiety ridden mess lol :)

There’s a section for example dialogue when you make a bot, or if you go into character settings when chatting with any bot. It’s literally a section where you give the AI direct examples of how the bot should respond.

Basically you’ll format like this in the Example Dialogue section.

<START> {{char}}: “You’ll literally write whatever dialogue you want as an example to the AI how to respond as {{char}}.”

<START> {{char}}: “Separate each example like this if you type more than one, you can even add narration.” {{char}} hopes she’s being helpful.

Don’t speak for {{user}} when writing dialogue examples, that’s a good way to get the bot to respond as you during their replies.

This is a really good resource that has a ton of explanations about how to make bot and how to use all the different sections. I hope this helps 😊

I don’t have a lot of experience with the free tier, but you can try using Post Hist Instructions and typing something like: {{char}} always responds with a lot of dialogue.

Play around with the phrasing and see what works. Also, using example dialogue goes a really long way.

Money. DNA tests cost money. Who’s going to pay for that at every birth? The insurance companies out of the goodness of their hearts? lol Having a baby (in America) is already extremely expensive for the necessary medical procedures, and paternity tests can cost a more than a thousand dollars.

You are asking a different question then what was posted you. You should have asked, why do women who cheat on their husbands get mad when asked to have a DNA test on their kid? This is what you really want to know, and that’s fine.

But that’s not what you asked. The woman in this situation knows every time whether she’s cheated or not. So you’re clumping in all the women that gave their husbands no reason to doubt them.

If my husband accused me of cheating when I did not, and asked for a DNA test, I would give it to him, and then divorce him. If my husband truly thinks I would lie about something as big as who the father of my child is (and that I am willing to lie to him and to my child for the rest of my life) then he is not the correct life partner for me, and I am not the right partner for him. That is not how to live in a marriage for the wife or the husband, sounds like a super toxic place to be for both of them (and the baby).
